Let’s face it, Instagram pretty much rules all when it comes to travel inspiration. With millions of photos and videos shared daily from selfies to professional drone footage and everything in between, there’s no doubt that getting that perfect shot for the ‘gram has taken over how we travel (in a good way). From Norway to Turkey or Morocco, there is no shortage of inspiration. So get those filters ready, for the most Instagrammable destinations in the world!

1. Norway

If Norway isn’t already on your bucket list, it should be. Home to over 1,00 grand fjords, Norway is filled with so many stunning sights, it might just break your camera. While you’re there, you can explore Oslo. Visit Tromso. Head to the Heddal Stave Church. Marvel at Jotunheimen National Park. How you spend your time is totally up to you.

Note: If you’re hoping to catch the northern lights in Norway, make sure you are aware that this phenomenon only occurs over winter. So if you’re travelling in June or July, don’t expect to see the dancing spectacle.

2. Egypt

From the mighty River Nile to the breathtaking Pyramids of Giza, there are plenty of things to see and do. Just as one might expect, Egypt is a living and breathing Instagram feed. Point your camera towards the Abu Simbel Temple or the colourful walls of the traditional Nubian Villages. Trek to the top of Mount Sinai and watch the sunrise for serious views. Capture the excitement and magic of Alexandria for a taste of European elegance. Make sure your camera is on close standby.

3. Sri Lanka

Are you dreaming of Sri Lanka? We sure are. Here, you can find a sea of green forests and tea plantations to the vibrant blue waters along the coastline including the likes of Mirissa beach.

The locals have so much respect for nature and wildlife. Sri Lanka was one of the greenest places I have ever visited and one of my favorite experiences was visiting the national parks and getting up close to so many families of elephants.

The best way to see everything Sri Lanka has to offer is to move around and stay in different regions, because each area is unique. Do no not miss visiting Kandy for the tea plantations, rainforests and temples along with the South of Sri Lanka for the beaches and wildlife. – Asdghik, The Jet Setter Diaries

5. New York City (NYC)

With an energy that is unlike anywhere else in the world, is there a greater city than NYC? You’ll need your camera at the ready. Set your sights on all of the icons you’ve come to know and love including Central Park, The Brooklyn Bridge or the Flat Iron building for starters. Make sure you have extra batteries packed or a portable charger because you’re bound to burn through power as you snap away here.

The thing I enjoy the most about NYC is the city’s diversity – in people, in culture, in food, and especially in what to do! One of my favorite neighborhoods is Manhattan’s Chinatown – as long as you avoid the shops selling knock-off purses, trinkets, and perfumes, you’ll find an incredibly exotic part of the city. I love exploring the dumpling shops, bakeries, and tea houses – one of the best hidden gems is Nom Wah Tea Parlor on Doyers Street. And right in the heart of Chinatown is Columbus Park, one of Manhattan’s busiest public parks – there’s plenty of incredible people-watching plus FREE Tai Chi and dance classes in the mornings.
