The obvious choice and must-visit-at-least-once Mediterranean party destination is Ibiza. If you’re into electronic music, then this Spanish island is definitely the party destination for you, as it throbs day and night with music mixed by some of the world’s most famous and respected DJs. The island is divided into three main party areas, with the quaint, white-washed walls of the village of Ibiza providing a little bit of grounding in between. Everywhere you look there’s a beautiful view and perfect sunset spot set to the tune of some delicious dance tracks. There are also plenty of little nooks, white sandy beaches, and secret coves to escape to when the party gets a bit overwhelming.

Look out for these clubs when you’re in Ibiza:

  • Pacha – open year round, though it can get very crowded during peak season and major events
  • Space Ibiza – one of the oldest and largest clubs in Ibiza
  • Privilege – near San Rafael, one of the largest nightclubs in the world, if not the largest

Summer in Ayia Napa runs from April until October, but the peak months are definitely June until the end of August. Major events and exciting DJ appearances happen during the peak season and that’s when the square, main strip and stunning beaches are pulsing with life. While Ayia Napa isn’t an island, it’s on the island of Cyprus and it’s one of those “must-visit” destinations that will leave you with unforgettable memories. There are 12 main established clubs, but every year one or two new ones might creep out and make their names known. It’s only at about 11pm that everything really starts to take shape and people start spilling out of every bar, restaurant and café on the quaint cobbled streets. Come 1am, the clubs are open and beckoning party people of every size, shape and colour.

Make your way to these clubs when you’re in Ayia Napa and you won’t regret it:

  • The Castle Club – the biggest club in Ayia Napa
  • Club Ice – touted as one of the best clubs in the area
  • Club Aqua – one of the two clubs that stays open until after sunrise

If you’re still keen to keep going, there are the after parties on the beach creating the perfect space to wind down amidst the action.

4. Mykonos, Greece

Open air parties are served with fresh sea air and stunning backdrops, with a mix of every kind of electronic music imaginable beckoning clubbers inside the many clubs.
