What people love about Active Tours in Australia
- Perth to Exmouth, Karijini & Return
What an awesome and fantastic experience the tour was! Our tour guides - Clark and Syd - were highly knowledgeable, friendly and patient, sharing their knowledge of and love for WA with the group. They ran the tour efficiently so we were always on schedule which was very important considering the long distances and the multitude of places the itinerary covered. The itinerary was amazing, allowing one to see a big chunk of WA raging from the beautiful beaches on the Indian Ocean through the ancient, rocky landscape of Karijini; to the austere beauty of the Western Australian desert - a treat for travel lovers who enjoy looking at the ever changing scenery out of the window of a moving vehicle. The accommodation and cooking arrangements were a great group bonding experience! Overall - a great and memorable holiday which I highly recommend.
- Trek the Cradle Mountain Overland Track
My Overland Track hike with Intrepid Travel was excellent. The trip was run by Tasmanian Hikes and there was nothing at all I would give them anything less than an excellent rating. The equipment was top notch, the guides were superb, the food was amazing (and very unexpected) and the knowledge of the hike, flora and fauna and the area itself were second to none.
- Eye On The Reef - Marine Conservation Program on the Great Barrier Reef
The trip was very good. As I already had my PADI Open Water, I had two free days at the beginning. The highlight of the trip for me was the liveaboard. Two nights out on the reef with 4 dives a day was great. As the boat moved ~2 times a day, the dive sites changed. The marine conservation section was interesting. It was a new experience completing the surveys. The only down side I thought was that we had to take a ~2hr boat ride every day and the dive sites were limited by what other passengers were doing. However, the diving was still good.
