While the trip was generally good, we were disappointed that the kayaking part of the trip (confirmed in the itinerary we received less than two weeks before the tour) was replaced with a second hike. We never received an explanation for this significant change to the itinerary.

Camping gets more comfortable too, and many of our travelers go for 3-day routes with nights at Campamento Poincenot and near Laguna Torre. Spring's also great for spotting local wildlife, which becomes more active as temperatures rise.

If you want something less demanding, try the Pliegue Tumbado day hikes - you'll get great views of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre without needing technical climbing skills.

Our El Chaltén trips take you through snow-covered Lenga forests on the way to Laguna de los Tres, with experienced guides leading the way.
