Good value for the money! Yeny was amazing! The days are long but the pre tour docs made this apparent. There is no set group or guide that you travel with, so sometimes we did get conflicting guidance on tour logistics. Overall a great experience!
Inca Adventures – 7 Days (Lima, Paracas, Ica, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain) – With Domestic FlightsI had a good opinion of Geckos until they didn't follow up on feedback that one of the guides was making highly inappropriate comments. I assumed they'd be horrified and get in touch to find out what happened but it's been 2 months now. The guide made inappropriate comments of a sexual nature to every woman in the group; about 10/12 on the tour were women. The most sexually explicit comments were directed at me, even after I told him it was inappropriate. It made the last few days of the tour very uncomfortable because you can't really avoid your guide. It was especially stressful at meals, trying to make sure I didn't end up beside him. When he realised I wasn't happy with him he sulked for days and kept asking why I wasn't his friend anymore. Not fun... Geckos' lack of response suggests to me that this must not be uncommon behaviour for guides. Also the fact that the guide was so blatant and targeted literally every woman suggests that he didn't expect the company to take complaints seriously.
18 to 35s Epic Mexico to Costa RicaThis tour exceeded my expectations in every way. I joined without any specific expectations, and it turned into a truly meaningful and memorable experience. The itinerary was well designed, offering a great balance between nature, culture, adventure, and downtime, allowing us to experience Central America in a deep and authentic way rather than just rushing from place to place. Everything was very well organized, from transportation and accommodations to daily activities and communication. Our group lead, Aurora, played a key role in making this happen. She managed logistics smoothly, communicated clearly, and handled any changes or challenges with calm professionalism. What truly set this tour apart was the atmosphere Aurora created. The experience felt inclusive, supportive, and thoughtfully paced, making it easy to connect both with the places we visited and with the group. Her warmth, knowledge, and personal approach brought the region to life and made the journey feel human and meaningful rather than transactional. I learned a lot — not just about Central America, but also about myself — and genuinely enjoyed sharing this journey with such a great group. I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Aurora as the group lead. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after it ends.
