Hi Ursula, glad the Around Iceland tour was otherwise worth the six days. The wilderness lodge is designed to reflect traditional Icelandic character, which gives it a deliberately rustic feel. That said, the room basics you've mentioned are fair points and we have passed them along. Arctic Adventures Team

Could you please share the names of the hotels where we'll be staying during the tour?

    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten July 2026

No, unfortunately this tour does not go to the Blue Lagoon, however, the group will visit Earth Lagoon on Lake Myvatn. Admission fee is an optional extra which can either be added to your booking in advance or paid on the spot.

    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten July 2026

There are plenty of vegetarian options in most dining places in Iceland. Please, let hotel and restaurant staff know about any restrictions or preferences upon arrival. Hotel breakfasts are usually in form of a buffet, so you will be able to choose from a variety of options. There will also be opportunities to do some grocery shopping during the tour.

    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten July 2026

Iceland is largely a cash free country, so a Revolut card will be sufficient. However, just to be on a safer side we recommend getting around 5000 ISK in cash just in case.

    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten July 2026

There is a variety of hotels our 6-day groups stay at, but most often they are Adventure Hotel Geirland, Hotel Höfn, Wilderness Center, Hotel Berjaya Akureyri and Hotel Laugarbakki. This is not definitive list and hotels may differ for your group.

What time does the tour start and from where? Do I have enough time to come to the spot where the tour starts? Will you wait if the flight gets delayed for some reason?

    Flights / Transfers
    Tour Details
    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2026

We recommend arriving at least one day before the start of the tour to protect yourself from any possible flight delays. If arriving on the same day, have at least 2-3 hours to make it to Reykjavik from the Keflavik airport till the start of pick-up. Even so, this is quite a tight timetable, and quite risky.

  • B

    Brenda

    Asked on May 23rd, 2026

Does this tour start and end in Reykjavik and include Golden circle, Blue lagoon, south coast- Skagafoss waterfall, Jokulsarlon Glacier, Diamond beach, and Snaefellsness? No adventure, no hiking.

    Tour Details
    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

This tour includes the Golden Circle, the South Coast, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and the Diamond Beach. There is a glacier hiking component, but you are welcome to skip it if you are not interested in the activity. However, Blue Lagoon and Snæfellsnes Peninsula are not on the itinerary for the 6-Day adventure. No dedicated tours around Reykjavik are included either. If you are interested in visiting the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, you can extend the tour by 1 day with the 7 Day - Complete Iceland tour. As for tours in Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon, those are not included in our multi-day tours.

  • M

    Michelle

    Asked on May 10th, 2026

will we be going to Diamond Beach and the Blue Lagoon?

    Tour Details
    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

This tour does visit the Diamond Beach in Jökulságrlón Glacier Lagoon, but it does not go to Blue Lagoon. However, if you are interested in going to a natural hot spring bath, the group will go to one on Lake Myvatn - either Earth Lagoon or Forest Lagoon, depending on the tour date. This activity is optional and the admission fee can be added to your booking in advance.

  • S

    Sara

    Asked on May 4th, 2026

If they wanted to switch to the 6 day around Iceland ring road tour - does it include the amphibian boat tour. Would the dates and pricing be similar? Is it offered through TourRadar?

    Tour Details
    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

The 6 Day Around Iceland Ring Road Tour and the 6 Day Around Iceland Adventure are the same tour, just listed under slightly different names on TourRadar and our website.

This tour does not include the Amphibian Boat Tour. However, it does visit the famous Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where clients can see icebergs drifting from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier.

    Asked on April 30th, 2026

are there any available dates for this 2026 year? I would prefer July but let me know if there are any available dates for the rest of the year

    Price / Availability
    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

Yes, there is plenty of available dates in 2026 throughout the summer, fall, and winter. In fact, there is more than enough room for 2 adults on the 4th of July. That month in general, the 6-Day tour is available every day except for July 18th and 20th.

Travelling with cousin (both in their 70s, active). Destination: Iceland. Preferred dates: October 2nd – October 9th. Interested in a small group tour. Key interest: Northern Lights. Looking for a well-balanced itinerary with a mix of culture and nature. Preference for low-intensity activities, with limited long drives. Open to adding an extra day in Reykjavik if recommended. Would prefer a group without infants/toddlers.

    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2026

We would highly recommend our 8 Day Iceland Northern Lights Tour. This itinerary offers a well-balanced mix of nature and cultural highlights, including the Golden Circle, South Coast, waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, and a full journey around the Ring Road. It is a great option for experiencing Iceland at a comfortable pace while focusing on Northern Lights viewing. The tour includes two dedicated Northern Lights activities: a boat tour from Reykjavik and a guided minibus excursion into darker areas for optimal viewing conditions, which increases the chances of seeing the aurora. The tour begins with a free day in Reykjavik and the Northern Lights boat tour in the evening, and ends with a free day in Reykjavik on the last day. As an alternative, you could consider our 5 Day Northern Lights, Golden Circle, South Coast, Jökulsárlón & Ice Cave Tour. This is a shorter option that still covers the main highlights of South Iceland and includes Northern Lights activities, but with a slightly more compact schedule. All of our tours are operated in small groups (up to 18 travellers) with a professional driver guide. The minimum age for participants is 6 years, so there will be no infants or toddlers on the tour. In terms of activity level, both tours are suitable for active travellers in their 70s, with light to moderate walking and regular stops. However, please note that due to Iceland's geography, some driving distances are unavoidable, especially on longer tours.

How can we do the payment

    Payments
    • Arctic AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2026

You can explore all the available payment options, including credit card, PayPal, and Google Pay, directly on the "Book Now" page. As your preferred departure date is less than 60 days away, we would require full payment at the time of booking.
