What people love about Road Cycling Tours
- Cycle the Dalmatian Coast
A very enjoyable cycling tour along a stunningly beautiful coastline. The cycling was of a moderate standard with the occasional challenging hills, but the views and scenery soon revived the aching limbs. The tour leaders were excellent and the local city guides knowledgeable and interesting. All the hotels were selected for their locations with great scenery, views, beaches and restaurant choices. Local food was of good quality, quantity and affordable, as was the wine! A highly recommended trip.
- Cycling Portugal - Porto to Lisbon
Our leaders were absolutely excellent! Marianna Picante and Michael Vanrapenbusch couldn't have been more helpful, patient and flexible. I do have 2 suggestions for the future.... -one of the ebikes wasn't working most of the trip, but Michael made every attempt to fix it. Maybe there should be an extra ebike on the van in case this happens in the future. -Michael was made to stay in hotels off site which was extra work for him. He worked just as hard on our trip as out leader Marianna did, and she was able to stay with us. -Maybe the trip should be rated more intermediate than moderate. There was days were the elevation was tough and long, and for people who aren't road cyclists it was extremely challenging. Otherwise no complaints, hotels were adequate, some nicer than others. The restaurant recommendations were good, the views spectacular, and the leaders simply the best!!
- Cycle Tuscany
Well organized, good fun and good explanations of what was happening and what we were about to do. Good exposure to lesser known, local, yet good accommodations and activities. Difficulty level of the tour was appropriate. Walter’s style if leading was good.
