Thoroughly enjoyed my tour with this company! Great accomodation, food, only glitch sadlywas that the palace was closed on the day we visited it!

The tour was amazing. The itinerary was perfect, we experienced the best of Cambodia and Jack the CEO made it the best. His knowledge and his passion was so evident. And his love and commitment to the group members made us feel so special.

The city of Siem Reap is the gateway to your adventure to the UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat, the largest religious structure in the world. Discover the ancient jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm and experience the floating villages on the Tonle Sap Lake.
See all Siem Reap toursLuxury Mekong cruises deliver that perfect mix of cultural moments and high-end comfort that upscale travelers are after. Our clients love how the crew remembers their preferences, the refined dining and those well-designed cabins on the premium ships. With just 68-80 guests aboard, these smaller vessels create quite an exclusive feel. What really comes through in our customer feedback is the seamless blend of cultural immersion and true luxury - you're exploring remote Khmer villages in the morning and come back to gourmet meals with river views at night. Some ships can access those harder-to-reach communities while others really shine with sophisticated entertainment and talks about local traditions. Our passengers particularly enjoy getting hands-on with authentic experiences like cooking classes, watching traditional dancers and meeting local artisans, all while having access to quality amenities including spa treatments and private balconies with plenty of space.

Immerse in Cambodia's natural beauty with an adventure trip. Hike through lush jungles of Mondulkiri, kayak in the tranquil Tonle Sap Lake, and bike around the ancient Angkor Wat. Savor local delicacies at bustling food markets and witness the vibrant traditional Apsara dance shows.
See all Active toursBiking turns out to be just the right speed to really see Cambodia. We run everything from day rides around Angkor to longer journeys connecting Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The Angkor routes are especially clever - you'll follow quiet paths to peaceful temples like Ta Nei, well away from the usual tourist spots. Our travelers often mention how cycling lets them really connect with local life as they pass through rice fields, pepper farms and small villages where children rush out to say hello. On longer trips, we mix up the riding with boat visits to floating villages, market cooking classes and nice spots to watch the sunset. The heat can be tough but our guides know all the best places to stop for fresh fruit and cold drinks.
See all Bicycle toursOur Cambodia trips take you beyond just seeing places - you're part of the experience. We've designed tours where you'll kayak the Mekong looking for Irrawaddy dolphins, bike through quiet villages on river islands and trek jungle paths to find temples most visitors never see. Our travelers tell us they love how each day brings something different; you might learn traditional silk weaving techniques at local farms one day, then join monks planting trees at rural pagodas the next. The highlight for many guests is staying overnight with families on Mekong islands - it's a genuine window into real Khmer life and helps support these small communities directly.

Top operators in Cambodia
Looking at these three Cambodian tour operators, each brings something unique to the table. Intro Travel really gets the mix right - our travelers tell us they appreciate how the tours blend temple visits with local village stops and market walks. The guides know exactly when to visit popular sites to dodge the crowds, which makes a real difference at places like Angkor Wat. Siem Reaper Travel has carved out a solid spot in the cycling scene. Their bike routes wind through backroads and villages you'd miss in a car, and they've picked accommodations that cyclists particularly like - places with secure bike storage and early breakfast options. The guides carry good repair kits and know the shady rest stops along the way. For travelers who prefer going at their own pace, Legend Travel Group handles private tours really well. They're quick to respond when you need to adjust plans and have good connections with local communities. We've had clients tell us how their guide managed to arrange impromptu stops at family homes for lunch or worked in extra time at temples they found particularly interesting. Between these three, you're looking at experienced operators who've been running Cambodia tours for years and really understand what makes a good trip tick. Each one brings their own approach, whether that's well-planned group experiences, thoughtful cycling routes or flexible private journeys.

"I had an excellent time, and our CEO Channy was one of the best guides I have ever had. Overall, I think the itinerary was effective. However, our outstanding CEO made this tour stand out against all the other tours I have taken in recent years. In addition to being personable, Channy never hesitated to give us the 'inside scoop'. His attentiveness not only kept us safe but made the trip much more enjoyable over all. I look forward to my next G Adventures tour with him.

"My husband and I just finished Intro Travel’s 21 Day Vietnam/Cambodia Tour and had an AMAZING time! This was our second Tour booked with Intro Travel and we highly recommend it, giving it a full 5 star rating! The first part of the tour was the 12 day Vietnam Intro which was led by two exceptional Group Leaders - Bobby/Ka and Liam! The second part of the tour was the 10 day Cambodia Intro which was guided by the phenomenal Group Leader Seyha/Slaya (who was also assisted by our much loved Liam)! It was especially great having the two local Group Leaders (Bobby and Seyha), having lived in their respective country their whole lives, share their vast historical and cultural knowledge coupled with their own personal points of view. This greatly added to the overall authenticity of the tour and it was truly delightful to see how much they love their country! All three of our Group Leaders were very informative, continually keeping everyone up-to-date on timings and what we needed for each activity. They had boundless energy and enthusiasm going above and beyond to ensure everybody was safe and that our needs were always well addressed. It was clear to all of us how much Bobby, Liam and Seyha love their jobs! All of the activities were extremely well organized and expertly executed. Although my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities, my most memorable are: cruising Ha Long Bay (actually brought me to tears…pictures don’t do it justice, it has be experienced in person); paddle boat ride in Ninh Binh (the rowers paddle using their feet and the caves are breathtaking); cooking class and lantern making in Hoi An; traditional cat fishing and teaching local children English at the Homestay in the Mekong Delta; visiting the S21 Prison and Killing Fields (while very emotional, critical to understanding Cambodia’s history); staying in Koh Rong Sanloem; taking the overnight bus to Seam Reap; visiting the temples of Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm; playing Mafia with the group most nights; and our Karaoke nights (huge shout out Seyha…what a voice)! Another one of the key reasons for recommending to take this Tour is the opportunity to meet people from other parts of the world. On the Vietnam portion of the tour, in addition to Bobby and Liam, there were 23 members in our group ranging in age from early twenties to mid thirties with the exception of my husband and I, both of whom are 63. On the Cambodia portion, aside from Seyha and Bobby, there were 16 members (9 of us carried over from Vietnam plus 7 new members) with the same age range except the vast majority of this group were in their early to mid twenties. Despite being significantly older than everyone else (including the Group Leaders), my husband and I were widely welcomed and embraced by every single person! We can’t say enough about how much these wonderful, genuine, beautiful people touched our hearts! It was extremely difficult saying goodbye to our Intro Vietnam & Cambodia families and many of us shed tears! We are hopeful that they come to visit and stay with us on Vancouver Island! Thank you to each and every one of you for making our Tour so SPECIAL and UNFORGETTABLE!

"A fantastic two-week tour of Vietnam (covering Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh) and finishing in Siem Reap, Cambodia, involving two internal flights and all manner of day trips and excursions. (The old town of Hoi An, exploring the Cu Chi tunnels, paddling on the Mekong River, and discovering Cambodia were the highlights for me). The whole tour was extremely well planned and slickly executed - pickups were almost invariably on time, transport comfortable and air-conditioned, restaurants and food excellent, and tour guides overwhelmingly knowledgeable and very personable. On the one occasion a bus trip didn't happen as scheduled, the office staff moved into action quickly and a good solution was found. Special mention to Sophia, in the Hoi An office, who without over-communicating kept us fully in the picture as to what to expect and what to prepare each day. I really felt well provided for and the entire experience was great value for money. I can recommend Hoi An Express without hesitation.

Best places to start your Cambodia tour
You can start your Cambodia trip from either Siem Reap or Phnom Penh - with Siem Reap being the slightly more popular choice since it's right by Angkor Wat. Our numbers show 53 tours beginning in Siem Reap and 45 from Phnom Penh, so you've got good options for planning your arrival. We've found booking about 3.5 months ahead (106 days) works well to get the dates and hotels you want, especially during busy season when popular trips fill quickly. The dry months from November through April are ideal, though early morning temple visits work well year-round. Many of our travelers love doing sunrise temple visits - not just for great photos but also to explore before the heat kicks in. If you're thinking about seeing more of Southeast Asia, we can easily connect you to Vietnam and Thailand tours by land or air. The local festivals add something special to any visit, particularly during Khmer New Year in April, just book well ahead for those dates since they're popular.

A week in Cambodia gives you time to properly understand the country. Most trips start in Phnom Penh, where guides help you process the emotional visits to the Killing Fields and S21 Prison, followed by lighter moments at the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. From there, you'll head toward Siem Reap, stopping at silk farms and local markets on the way. The Angkor visits are nicely spread across several days - our guides know exactly when to visit each temple to miss the busy times. These 7-day trips mix in cooking classes, floating village visits and temple sunrises, plus enough free time to wander night markets and try local food spots.

These longer stays include the complete Angkor experience plus visits to quieter temples like Banteay Srei. Our 10-day Cambodia Intro tours hit the sweet spot for solo travelers, with just the right mix of planned activities and independent exploration time. You'll visit the must-see historical places but also discover spots like Kampot where you can paddle down rivers and learn about local pepper farming. The social setup works really well - hostels with welcoming common spaces and group cooking classes make it easy to meet people naturally. Even the overnight bus rides between cities turn into fun social experiences. Having a guide who knows all the local hangouts means you've always got evening options, and many of our solo travelers love spending time at Koh Rong where they can join group activities or just chill out on their own.
Active tours running 8-12 days really click with young adults, mixing physical activities and cultural experiences. You'll bike through temple complexes, hike to waterfalls near Kulen Mountain and kayak in flooded forests. While you'll definitely see those famous temples, you'll also get off the beaten path to places like Kampot's river valleys and authentic village homestays. Our travelers in their 20s and early 30s particularly enjoy how the days blend activity with nightlife - cycling temples during daylight hours then heading to Siem Reap's Pub Street for dinner and drinks with the group. Beach time at Koh Rong offers a perfect break with snorkeling, sunset boat trips and also beach barbecues.
Family trips to Cambodia work best in the 6-8 day range - just right for keeping kids interested while seeing the main sights. Cycling through Battambang's countryside lets families visit local cottage industries, where you'll watch sticky rice being made in bamboo and see traditional rice paper production. Kids get hands-on at women's centers learning to weave and discover how silk is made. The floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake are real eye-openers, showing children totally different ways of life. Our families tell us their kids love jumping into cooking classes to make fish amok and other local specialties. These tours mix culture with fun activities - you might explore temples in the morning, then spend afternoons splashing in the hotel pool or watching amazing circus shows put on by former street youth.
