What people love about Central India Tours
- Tiger Safari India with Taj Mahal Tour
I loved India. The tour met all of my expectations regarding tour experience, seeing seven tigers, the New Delhi and Old Delhi site seeing, the restaurant Sirabachi, buying rugs, jewelry, purses and jackets (supporting the economy), seeing the towns and countryside via van, domestic flight experience, and of course, the Taj Mahal. Of exception note was Old Delhi, Taj Mahal and of course, the tigers with a roar that is ever in my nind and what the tour noted. I have friends who did not even see a tiger and I do have this bragging right. Accommodations were good, especially the cabins at the Kanan resort. So, I have plenty of good memories in my head and to share. One recommendation is a better coordination and correspondence with the travel manager. There were times that I was not sure of the aspects of the tour regarding times of drop off and pick up and had to communicate via WhatsApp. A proactive stance of expectations is the recommendation. All in all, I would visit India again and would use the same tour group. This is my third time to Asia and the continent does not disappoint.

When is the best time to visit Central India for wildlife spotting and cultural experiences?
Central India welcomes visitors from October to March with moderate temperatures and clear skies that create perfect conditions for wildlife viewing. During these months tigers are frequently spotted in Bandhavgarh and Kanha National Parks while morning temperatures hover between 15-20°C making exploration comfortable. The mild weather creates ideal conditions for visiting architectural sites like the Khajuraho temples and Sanchi Stupa. Accommodations such as Lemon Tree in Bandhavgarh and Mahua Tiger Resort in Kanha serve as convenient bases during peak season. A TourRadar traveler confirmed "The two national parks were both excellent and well organized."
What are the must-see wildlife destinations in Central India?
Four national parks stand out in Central India's wildlife circuit. Bandhavgarh holds the country's highest tiger population while Kanha offers sightings of leopards sloth bears and wild dogs. Pench National Park the setting that sparked Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book" draws bird enthusiasts. Satpura distinguishes itself with walking safaris and water-based excursions. Visitors can book stays at properties like Taj Safari Lodges which arrange both morning and afternoon game drives. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The park has a significant population of Royal Bengal tigers Indian leopards and barasingha - it was an unforgettable experience."
What cultural heritage sites should I include in my Central India itinerary?
The cultural landscape of Central India features significant UNESCO sites and historical monuments. The Khajuraho temples built between 950-1050 AD display detailed erotic carvings and architectural excellence. Sanchi's Buddhist stupas dating to the 3rd century BC rank among India's oldest stone structures. In Orchha the Jahangir Mahal and Ram Raja Temple reflect medieval grandeur. Most tours arrange stays at distinctive properties like Noor Us Sabha Palace in Bhopal or Grace Resort near these sites. A TourRadar traveler shared: "The tour was well organized and we really enjoyed all the places we visited on the itinerary."
How long should I plan for a comprehensive Central India tour?
A complete Central India experience requires 10-14 days to properly explore both wildlife and cultural sites. Most visitors spend 2-3 days each at Bandhavgarh and Kanha parks followed by 1-2 days at Khajuraho Orchha and Sanchi. TourRadar data shows most travelers choose 9-12 day itineraries.
