Did this tour of Vancouver Island last year and it was unbelievable. I had never been to the west coast and had no idea what to expect but I wasn't ready for the beauty and amount of untouched wilderness that Vancouver Island has to offer. We swam in crystal clear lakes, and I recommend adding both the cruises where I saw some whales and a bunch of bald eagles. The camping was fun, and it was nice to have a campfire while the sun went down. Alex, our guide helped to make sure that everyone was comfortable and made some food that I never expected to eat while camping. I am a vegetarian and was happy to see that there were lots of options for me, as well as for the meat eaters. I would for sure do this tour again and hope to try their tour in the Rockies next year.

The food can be hit or miss though, based on what we hear from different groups. If you're into paddling, Timberwolf's kayaking trips are fantastic and their camping setups are top notch. Just keep in mind these aren't lazy river floats - you'll need to be ready for some real physical work out there on the water and trails. Fresh Adventures has built quite a following thanks to their guide Alex Ross. Their ski trips are pretty hardcore with deep powder runs and backcountry routes, plus they mix in some really nice touches like soaking in hot springs and properly good meals. That said, if you're new to skiing, you might want to look elsewhere - one of our clients found the runs pretty intimidating as a beginner.

"This tour was great for a solo traveller looking to explore new places as part of a group. I got to go places I never would have known about if I had gone independently and got to meet lots of great people from all over the world. The tour guide was great! Very considerate of everyone in the group and happy to share his knowledge about the areas we visited. He put in a lot of time and effort to ensure the meals were high quality and healthy and encouraged everyone to take part in helping out. It was a great experience and I?m so glad I went.

"The trip was absolutely perfect! Our tour guides Louis and Corinne were kind, funny and just the best people overall. They organised the best trip, allowing us to see so much of the Island and they cooked up gourmet meals that I didn't think would be possible on a camping trip! They accommodated everyone's preferences on activities and took us to some amazing places and I had so much fun with everyone on the trip. I will definitely recommend this Vancouver island tour to all and any other fresh adventures tours because they were so helpful from the point of booking the tour to the end of the tour!
