What people love about Canada And USA Tours
- Eastern USA & Canada Escape (16 destinations)
Our 22 days exploring Europe with our wonderful guide Karina exceeded all our expectations. Her fun loving nature and energy rubbed off on the group and we made many life long friends from around the world. We saw so much and experienced so many things in such a short time it was mind blowing. Mark drove us around in our comfortable coach with plenty of skill he took a lot of the stress away that we would have had doing it on our own. Hotels were very good. You do need to be fit physically and mentally to make the most out of it and the optional extras were well priced and worth doing. We will certainly travel with Expat again great value and very professional.
- Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation
Time passed too quickly. Places and people made for a lovely 14 day trip. A great way to see a large area in a limited time frame.
- Glacier National Park & the Canadian Rockies
Lynda Brown did a fantastic job! Gerard as our driver was also phenomenal. My only suggestion is to have a microphone for Lynda at the dinner on the last night. I could not hear Lynda or the cowboy poet.

Our Grand Alaskan programs combine different outdoor activities to give you a full taste of what Alaska offers both on land and water. You'll get remarkably close to Meares Glacier in Prince William Sound, where otters, seals and whales often show up against the massive ice backdrop. The Denali portion lets you choose your own pace - track grizzlies and caribou on wildlife tours, paddle the Nenana River rapids or take helicopter rides above the vast wilderness. At Glacier Bay, you can watch huge ice chunks break off Margerie Glacier while keeping an eye out for humpback whales and brown bears along the coast. The Hubbard Glacier visits are special since it's one of North America's few advancing tidewater glaciers - our groups often see seals using the ice floes as natural platforms to rest.

See all Coach / Bus toursNorth American explorer tours really shine when you're looking to experience both cities and wilderness in one trip. The longer routes run 9 to 16 days, giving you time to properly take in both countries' highlights. Our travelers often tell us how much they love starting in Montreal with its French-influenced streets before moving on to Quebec's old-world districts and then witnessing the raw power of Niagara Falls up close. Out west, the Canadian Rockies tours let you mix city time in Vancouver with real wildlife experiences - you can actually walk on ancient ice fields and spot grizzly bears in Jasper National Park. The guides do a great job balancing big city energy like Times Square with quiet moments at spots like Spirit Island on Maligne Lake, where you might have the whole place to yourself.

Discover Canada and USA tours for every budget
Budget tours across Eastern US & Canada run 14-15 days from New York City or Toronto, giving you good value for the full experience. You'll get up close to Niagara Falls by boat, cruise through Thousand Islands National Park and discover the French culture in Montreal and Quebec City. Our travelers really like the authentic local touches - eating at real Pennsylvania Dutch restaurants and learning about Amish communities firsthand. Hotels might be a bit outside city centers, but that's how we keep prices reasonable without cutting corners on the experiences. One practical note from recent customers: plan about $30 Canadian extra for breakfast in Toronto, since meals aren't always part of the package, especially in bigger cities.

You'll paddle canoes on Lake Louise's blue waters, get the chance to fly over Columbia Icefield by helicopter and spot wildlife while biking Jasper National Park's trails. The guides really make these trips special - they know all the local stories and history that you won't find in guidebooks. Many of our travelers talk about great nights sharing stories around campfires and how much they appreciate the flexible schedule that lets them linger at places they love. There's quite a bit of driving, usually 5-6 hours per day, but we break it up nicely with scenic stops, short walks and interesting spots along the way.

Demographics
When it comes to couples, our nature-focused tours consistently get the best feedback, especially ones that mix outdoor experiences with lovely hotels. Along Canada's Pacific coast, pairs can find quiet spots in Victoria's Butchart Gardens and take private boats out to spot orcas off Vancouver Island. The Rocky Mountain routes let couples stay in grand hotels like the Fairmont Banff Springs - perfect after days spent walking the shores of Lake Louise or taking helicopter flights over massive ice fields. For those interested in culture, the eastern routes work beautifully - think evening strolls through old Quebec City, wine tastings in Niagara-on-the-Lake and cozy dinners in Montreal's historic neighborhoods.
Our older travelers appreciate tours that balance getting out and about with proper comfort. The east coast routes offer relaxed walking tours through Boston's historic areas, pleasant boat trips in the Thousand Islands and guided walks through Quebec City's ancient streets. Out west, the Rocky Mountain trips work well because you can go at your own pace - choose between easy walks around Maligne Lake or more challenging trails in Banff National Park. The coaches are comfortable for longer drives and also the hotels are picked specifically for their locations right next to main sights, which our senior guests really value.
Family trips across North America blend city buzz with outdoor discoveries that work nicely for all ages. Up in the Canadian Rockies, kids and parents can walk together on glaciers that formed thousands of years ago, watch for bears and elk in Jasper Park and hop aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for scenic rail rides through the mountains. The East Coast routes from New York give families plenty to love - there's the bright lights of Times Square, genuine conversations with Amish families in Pennsylvania and getting splashed on boat rides near Niagara Falls. Our family groups tell us they really enjoy getting hands-on: learning hockey moves from local players in Toronto or mixing up traditional whoopie pies during dinner with Pennsylvania Dutch families.

Best time to visit Canada and USA
- Spring 2025
Our East Coast tours really shine in spring, typically running 14-15 days between New York and Boston. The timing works perfectly - you'll catch Boston's Freedom Trail and historic sites just as winter fades, then head up into Canada when everything's coming alive. There's something special about visiting Quebec's sugar shacks during maple season; our travelers connect with local families who've been making syrup for generations and sample authentic dishes right where they're made. The spring routes take you to Niagara Falls when the winter melt makes the flow incredibly powerful, plus you'll see Amish farmers bringing their fields to life during spring planting season in Pennsylvania.

- Summer 2025
Summer lets us run our full range of tours across both countries. The Eastern routes include some nice extras - you can watch the Parliament's Changing of the Guard in Ottawa and take evening boats through the Thousand Islands. Over in the Rockies, the long summer days are perfect for spotting wildlife in Jasper National Park and walking on the Athabasca Glacier with expert guides. Our customers particularly enjoy mixing outdoor activities with city culture - you can canoe on Lake Louise, hike through Glacier National Park and also explore Vancouver, Victoria and Seattle. Along the Pacific Coast, the summer schedule includes whale watching trips and visits to Butchart Gardens when the flowers are in full bloom.

- Fall / Autumn 2025
Fall brings out amazing colors along our Eastern routes - driving through New Hampshire's White Mountains and Quebec's Laurentian Hills means you'll want your camera ready pretty much constantly. Our travelers tell us autumn hits the sweet spot for combining city exploration with natural sights - you can wander Montreal's Mount Royal Park, explore Boston's historic areas and take in the scenery. The Pennsylvania Dutch country looks particularly nice as the Amish communities bring in their harvest. We've noticed our September and October tours tend to fill up fast; people love that mix of comfortable weather, fewer tourists and rich fall colors all the way from New York to Quebec.
