- Hunza Valley and Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat Base Camp Tour 2024, 2025
I would like to take this opportunity to give you guys a brief review of our trip to Hunza. This was not a holiday but a journey. The arrangements put in place by Exploria were fantastic. Every hotel we stayed at was brilliant. Asif (guide) is an asset to your organisation, his mannerism and demeanour were professional yet friendly. He made the entire trip memorable with his knowledge and skills. As a well travelled family, this is by far our favourite and most memorable trip. It was brilliantly organised and delivered. I can wholeheartedly say we are struggling to come up with our top 10 moments as there are so many lovely moments to choose from. Particularly, we absolutely loved and cherished the trip to Fairymeadows. There are so many memories we made and unbelievable moments we experienced, such as stargazing on the first night, the view of Nangaparpat in the morning, the hike to basecamp, the horse rides, and hikes. The trip to Hunza was equally fanatastic and memorable. The friendliness of the people of Hunza is something we have never experienced anywhere in the world. Their honesty, warmth, and above all the beauty. The trip to the forts, eaglesnest, passu cones, attabad lake, khabour track, hopper glacier, the list goes on.
- 5 days complete Skardu tour By Air
I visited Skardu with my friends this Autumn on a 5 day tour. The experience was so Amazing. Exploria was very good in communication from the start and offered exactly what we wanted. Our guide Zia received us at Skardu Airport and showed us around. He is a very friendly and experienced local guide. Thank you Exploria for a phenomenal Skardu Experience. We are already planning to visit Hunza next year with you guys.
- 11 Days Trek Nanga Parbat Base Camp & Hunza Gojal Valley Pakistan
I had a wonderful trip with Rock Valley Tours Pvt Ltd. The whole trip is enjoyable. Both our guide Manzoor and driver Qasim are friendly and helpful. During the trip, we faced a small scale landslide which blocked our road. Manzoor and some other locals worked hard to clean up and resumed the traffic, so that we did not need to turn back and can go as scheduled.

The Himalayas offer some of the world's most rewarding treks, and TourRadar travelers keep telling us about how these journeys changed their perspective. The Everest Base Camp Trek lets you follow the same paths as history's great climbers, with Mt. Everest right there in front of you. Our customers particularly enjoy spotting the wide mountain views across the Annapurna Range, and many say reaching Thorong La pass gives them a real sense of personal achievement. The experience goes deeper than just walking though - you'll find yourself in remote villages where life moves at its own pace, meet local families and discover ancient traditions. The spiritual atmosphere around Pashupatinath Temple adds another layer to the journey. What stands out in our travelers' stories isn't just the mountains, but the genuine connections they make with Sherpa communities and the quiet moments spent in Buddhist monasteries along the way.
See all Himalaya Mountains toursThe Golden Triangle in Northern India brings together fascinating ancient cultures and grand imperial heritage in ways that really captivate visitors. The Taj Mahal catches the early morning light in a special way - our travelers often tell us how the white marble takes on an almost otherworldly glow that photographers can't get enough of. Up in Rishikesh, there's a different kind of magic where the Ganges runs in distinct milky blue waters, creating just the right setting for yoga and meditation. What makes these trips work so well is our local guides who know how to bring the history alive - they'll point out the fine details in Mughal buildings and explain age-old traditions while our experienced drivers handle the lively street scenes. For the most comfortable exploring conditions, plan your visit between October and March when it's cool and dry - perfect timing for seeing the decorated palaces and joining in the vibrant local festivals.

Travel Pakistan your way
For trekking enthusiasts, our most popular routes explore the Karakoram and Hunza regions, with the Nanga Parbat Base Camp trek standing out as a genuine mountain experience. The trek takes you through Fairy Meadows to reach 3,800m at base camp, with our travelers particularly loving the evening campfires and local dance performances along the way. Another excellent option follows the ancient trading paths through Nangma Valley, where you'll camp at 4,500m near Amin Brakk and connect with Balti shepherds. The Hunza Valley treks incorporate cultural stops at centuries-old forts like Baltit and Altit, while giving you close-up views of the Passu Cones. Our customers especially value the flexible pacing - you can choose between challenging high-altitude routes and gentler valley walks depending on your experience level.
See all Hiking & Trekking toursThe adventure tours through northern Pakistan combine cultural immersion with active exploration. Multi-day journeys along the Karakoram Highway put you face-to-face with 7,000m peaks like Rakaposhi, while letting you stay in remote villages like Passu and Shimshal. Our travelers consistently mention how much they enjoy meeting local families - you might find yourself picking apricots, learning to make traditional soups or watching carpet weaving in action. For photography enthusiasts, the routes through Skardu and Deosai Plains offer chances to capture high-altitude lakes and sweeping mountain panoramas. The more challenging itineraries include 4x4 drives to places like Naltar Valley with its turquoise lakes and opportunities to spot snow leopards in protected areas. What makes these tours special is the mix of cultural experiences with active elements - one day you're crossing the Hussaini suspension bridge, the next you're learning about centuries-old traditions in a mountain village.
See all Active toursOur popular explorer tours in northern Pakistan center on the Hunza Valley and Karakoram Mountains, where you'll find a perfect blend of culture and natural beauty. The itinerary takes you through Baltit Fort and across the rather hair-raising Hussaini Suspension Bridge, with a stop to catch the sunset from Duikar viewpoint. What really sets these trips apart are the genuine local moments - you'll cook dawdo soup with families in their homes, pick fresh apricots right off the trees when they're in season and explore quiet village backstreets. Our French and English-speaking guests often tell us how much they appreciate having local guides who take them beyond the standard tourist stops for tea and pakoras in hidden corners of the villages.

Top operators in Pakistan
From what our travelers tell us, three companies stand out for exploring Pakistan's northern regions. Exploria gets consistently good feedback for their guided trips through the Hunza Valley and Karakoram Mountains - their local guides really know the territory and help visitors connect with local communities in meaningful ways. Gypsy Traces & Tours has built a solid reputation with their Fairy Meadows and Premium Pakistan packages. Their team is quick to respond when needed, picks comfortable places to stay and works with guides who share fascinating stories about the region's past and present. For anyone interested in Gilgit-Baltistan specifically, Crossroads Adventure comes highly recommended by our customers. Two of their guides, Altaf Ahmed and Sultan Uddin, get mentioned often in reviews for going above and beyond - whether it's explaining local customs, finding the best photo spots or making sure everyone's comfortable on long driving days through the mountains. The nice thing about these operators is they all know how to balance showing you the major sights while also taking you to places most visitors never see. They've figured out the logistics of traveling in some pretty remote areas, which lets you focus on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about the details. [Note: I've maintained the key information while making it flow more naturally and personally, removed problematic words, and integrated specific details in a conversational way]

"When we shared with family & friends in Singapore our plans to visit Pakistan, first question - is it safe? Second, is it convenient & reliable to travel there? So in retrospect, my wife & I were so glad and grateful we engaged Exploria for our 10 days introduction to Gilgit-Baltistan & Islamabad. Exploria checked all the right boxes, and then some. The flexible & all-encompassing itinerary, the well chosen accommodations, the comfort of travel provided despite the long distances, the sumptuous meals served, all pointed to one thing - The meticulous planning, comprehensive local knowledge & professional dedication of the Exploria team. Special shoutout to Mr Ajmal who planned our trip well & Mr Rashid - our guide & trusted traveling companion. We highly recommend for everyone to include Northern Pakistan on the bucket list. Having been to Swiss ourselves, we believe the mountains, lakes & valleys that Gilgit-Baltistan have to offer are on par, if not superior. Definitely the mountains are much taller. Just need to add cable cars to the summit. We took lots of photos of the wonderful sceneries during our 10-day travels, and fondly look back at them. One thing we realized, it can never do justice compared to seeing it with our own eyes. And the photos could never capture the warmth, sincerity & hospitality of the locals who crossed our path.

Best places to start your Pakistan tour
Most of our Pakistan tours start from Islamabad - about 81% of customers begin there. While you can start from Lahore, Karachi and sometimes Hunza Valley or Skardu, Islamabad just works better with all the connections and infrastructure. Looking at our bookings across different seasons, you'll want to lock in your tour about 58 days ahead. This extra time helps us sort out alternatives if mountain weather affects flights. It's smart to build in some wiggle room at the start of your trip and pack some snacks for the longer drives. Our travelers particularly love visiting in spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) when temperatures are mild and mountain views are really clear. The Hunza Valley is especially nice these times of year - you'll catch either the apricot trees in full bloom or rich autumn colors, depending on when you go.

The hotels are simple but clean, and most have fantastic mountain views right from your window. We've mapped out routes that include crossing the famous Hussaini bridge and driving up to Khunjerab Pass, keeping everything affordable while making sure you don't miss the good stuff.
The luxury options run 10-14 days and combine the capital Islamabad with mountain regions like Hunza, Skardu and Gilgit-Baltistan. The guides know exactly where to take you for both the main sites and those quiet spots tourists usually miss.
