Yoshi was a knowledgeable, local guide that adjusted the optional support based on the group requests. This made the tour really personal for me and resulted in an outstanding overall experience.
- Japan Explorer
It was an absolutely amazing grass roots travel tour and met the most fabulous 11 people. Our (unexpectedly Canadian French) guide Max was fantastic and had such a gorgeous energy about him that calmly navigated a very fast paced tour. We crammed in so much in 10 days it felt like a month worth of adventures. Japan is divine, there are lots of options to add/ subtract and opt into/ out of if you want to slow down the pace or take your fancy, but not at massive extra $$$ (some tours you're constantly paying for 'non included'. Was amazing to travel again and I'd recommend travel talk for this tour (and already have)... Only thing that might be worth highlighting is that you often have to pack for 2 nights away from your main luggage SO, keep that in mind as I would have packed differently but not a criticism as when you see people trying to navigate trains with big bags you think 'pffft' what amateurs as you're only carrying what you need for next 1-2 days. Was amazing and I'd do it all again tomorrow if I could! Thanks Max and the rest of the amazing 8th April Japan Explorer team (you know who you are!)
