What people love about touring Alberta solo
- 5-Day Canadian Rockies Adventure: Banff, Jasper & Yoho National Parks Tour
So nice trip. Gondola, ice coach, lake Louise, Emareld lake, Moraine lake, Athabasca falls are gorgeous. Hotels were very nice and clean. Banff is sooo nice during the off season ( last August). I recommend to give more time to gondola on the last day, no need to visit the surprise corner. Thank you tourradar.

What our customers ask about Alberta Tours for Solo Travelers
What's included in a typical Alberta tour package?
The tours cover the basics needed for a comfortable Canadian Rockies experience: your hotel room, breakfast each morning, entry fees to national parks, and rides in air-conditioned vehicles between locations. For those wanting extra experiences, there's the option to add activities like riding the Banff Gondola, exploring the Columbia Icefield, or having lunch at the well-known Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
What are the typical accommodations like on Alberta tours?
Hotels on the tour route put you right where you need to be. In Banff, the Aspen Lodge sits in the heart of town, while Jasper's Whistlers Inn offers similar convenience. Both provide the usual comforts - daily breakfast, clean rooms with modern touches, and locations that make it easy to walk to restaurants and shops.
What is the best time to visit Alberta?
Summer brings the most visitors, with August drawing the biggest crowds. The June-to-September window works best for most travelers - the weather's good and everything's open. Keep in mind that some spots, like the popular Moraine Lake, are only open from late May or early June until October's first days.
How much free time is available during the tours?
The schedule mixes guided activities with personal time. When visiting towns like Banff and Jasper, you'll typically get about an hour and a half to explore on your own - enough time to check out local shops, grab a bite, or see nearby attractions at your own speed.
What kind of meals are included/available?
Your hotel breakfast comes with the package, but lunch and dinner are up to you. The tour offers some group meal choices most days, including the chance to have a special lunch at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, where they serve both Asian and Western dishes.
How physically demanding are the tours in Alberta?
These tours work well for most people, even those who aren't particularly athletic. While you'll do some walking, like on the Johnston Canyon trail or the Columbia Icefield Skywalk, it's all at an easy pace. Many scenic spots are just steps from where the bus parks.
