What people love about Mallorca Tours
- Mallorca: Cycling Paradise
The over all experience was fine, excellent hotels, first class bikes and the navigation system fairly good. My negative comments are the information flow and guidence, especially in the beginning, how to check in to the tour, the reception and so forth. We had expected ore formally start and some advice according to this special route. It was a need for this in relation to utility of battery function and consuming of power. We had some problems in the Tramuntana, near Sierra de Tramuntana, ran out of electricity and a little help to get from the organizer. We had the general feeling in the tour that we were more or less on our own. That can also be good

"Wir waren eine Woche wandern auf Mallorca. Es hat alles super geklappt; der Transfer von uns zum Start der Wanderung als auch nur der Gepäcktransfer. Auch bei von uns verursachten Problem wurde sofort reagiert und das Problem unkompliziert behoben. Hier ein besonderer Dank an Frau Wildham. Wir können Eurohike nur bestens empfehlen.

Mallorca tours for every type of group
Who are you traveling with?
Group
15 tours in MallorcaThe group tours blend cycling and hiking in Mallorca really nicely. You'll join 12-16 fellow travelers for a week starting in Palma, which is perfect for the narrow trails and keeps things social. The routes take you along the coast to Playa de Palma and through the salt fields of Llevant - our travelers say the guides are great at reading the group's energy and knowing exactly when to take those welcome swimming breaks at spots like Es Trenc beach. You'll cycle past old windmills and pause in traditional villages like Petra, where the group typically stops for a proper Mallorcan lunch in the village square. The guides handle the climbs well, adjusting the pace so everyone can manage the ascent to places like the Lluc monastery without feeling rushed.

15 tours in MallorcaSelf-drive tours put you in control while keeping all the practical details sorted. You get your car at Palma airport and clear route guidance, but the day-to-day timing is completely up to you. Our customers regularly tell us how much they appreciate being able to spend extra time in spots that catch their interest - whether that's lingering in Valldemossa's artist village or taking those extra photos from the Tramuntana trails. The routes are carefully planned, starting perhaps in Can Pastilla for some beach time before heading to the Caves of Drach, but you've got the freedom to detour to local markets, quiet coves or spend more time hiking and swimming. Your hotels are all pre-booked but the daily schedule stays flexible - it's your call how to mix exploring towns, trails and beaches.

Ten days is perfect for getting deep into the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Starting from Palma, you'll trek to Port d'Andratx and Sant Elm, with clear views to Sa Dragonera island - home to those peculiar little Dragonera lizards basking on the rocks. The path follows the GR221 trail through genuine mountain villages like Banyalbufar, Esporles and also Deià. The climb up Puig de Massanella reaches 1,365 meters, making it Mallorca's highest accessible peak; on good days you can spot both Menorca and Ibiza from up there. Our walkers particularly love their overnight stays in old monasteries like Santuari de Lluc, before winding down with some well-earned beach time in Port de Pollença.

Mallorca really shines for solo travelers, especially with its well-designed self-guided options. The self-drive routes let you set your own rhythm - our solo guests tell us they love being able to pull over whenever they spot an interesting cove or spend extra time exploring Valldemossa's artistic corners. For cyclists, the guided routes from Palma work brilliantly; you'll pedal with a friendly small group past centuries-old windmills, through salt fields and into authentic villages where time seems to move slower. The walking tours around Esporles are another solid choice for solo travel - keeping groups to 12-16 people creates just the right social vibe while you follow historic postal routes and mountain trails together.
Our senior visitors particularly enjoy Mallorca's easier cycling paths, especially those starting in Can Pastilla where the coastal routes stay nice and flat. These tours mix gentle riding with plenty of cultural stops at Gothic churches, local markets and other interesting spots - you can really take in the island's character at a relaxed pace. The self-drive tours are a big hit too; seniors appreciate being able to explore Porto Cristo's caves or the Lluc monastery at their own speed, following routes that stick to easier terrain. Based in Esporles, the walking tours get great feedback from our older travelers who like how guides adjust the walking pace on routes like the old Postman's Path. Plus, the traditional hostals offer that perfect blend of authentic Mallorcan charm with all the modern comforts you need.

Best time to visit Mallorca
- Spring 2025
Spring in Mallorca hits that sweet spot for cycling and walking tours. The Serra de Tramuntana trails really come alive March through May - our travelers often tell us about watching nightingales and cuckoos while walking those old stone paths. We keep the guided walking groups small, just 12-16 people, which works perfectly on mountain trails. The routes take you along gems like the Postman's Trail from Palma to Banyalbufar, and you'll stop at local spots like Mesón La Villa where everyone raves about the suckling pig. Spring's also ideal for e-bike tours through olive groves and past traditional windmills to places like Caimari, Pollença and other villages. The guides know all the best local farms for fresh orange juice breaks.

- Summer 2025
Summer's perfect for exploring Mallorca's caves and coastal spots. Our self-drive tours let you dodge the heat by hitting places like the Caves of Drach early, then spending afternoons finding quiet coves and beaches. The road cycling routes make good use of those long summer days, taking you from Ca'n Pastilla along Bahía de Palma and into rural areas. Cyclists particularly enjoy mixing challenging climbs up to Santuari de Cura with cooling stops at beaches like Es Trenc. The guided cycling tours include well-planned restaurant breaks and good support on those monastery and lighthouse climbs, plus boat transfers that offer nice breaks when it's hot.

- Fall / Autumn 2025
Fall brings ideal temperatures for active tours in Mallorca. September through November is when walking tours really shine - our customers love how the trails are less busy and the Mediterranean views are clearer. You'll follow old pilgrim paths to Lluc Monastery, where groups often catch the evening choir performances. The cycling's particularly good in autumn too, with routes mixing coastal rides past golden beaches with trips through the wine region near Binissalem. Our guides time things perfectly to catch local markets in Petra, Alcúdia and other towns where you can sample seasonal foods and Mallorcan specialties. Self-guided options are great for taking your time in artistic villages like Valldemossa and Deià once the summer crowds have left. From what our travelers tell us, both companies handle Italian tours well but in different ways. Terranova really excels with their E-bike setup - the guides are solid professionals and the whole operation runs smoothly. The E-bikes make exploring much more manageable, especially on those longer routes through hilly areas. Explore has built up a good reputation for their hiking programs and most of our clients speak highly of their tour leaders who clearly know the regions, local culture and hidden spots really well. But there's a practical point worth mentioning: some travelers found the hiking more challenging than they expected. While the trip descriptions mention difficulty levels, it's better to be on the conservative side with your fitness estimates - the Italian sun and steep trails can make moderate hikes feel quite demanding. If you're trying to choose between them, think about your preferred activity level and pace. Terranova's E-bike approach lets you cover more ground with less effort, while Explore offers that satisfying hiking experience but requires good stamina and comfortable walking shoes. Those who've gone with either company generally come back happy with their choice.
