Wonderful host / safe driver Avtar for trip to Haridwar where we were met by an extremely personable and knowledgeable young guide who accompanied us to the major attractions and secured prime seating to observe the Aarti on the banks of the Ganges on the first evening / Excellent accommodation in Rishikesh and a very informative guided (by our young local guide again) city tour of Rishikesh on the second day including visits to various ashrams including a walk through the former Rajaji Tiger Reserve where greater than 100 meditation huts were in use as well as the hotel where the Beatles stayed and wrote ~ 40 songs
