What people love about Luzon Island Tours
- Philippines Classic 14 Day - One Life Adventures
This trip is life CHANGING. We saw all the best that Palawan has to offer. Everything was perfectly planned from start to finish. I have been on tours before but never have I been on a tour where it was so clear that the company really cares about the communities and the people they have contact with. I thought Palawan was beautiful but Coron was mind blowing! I can't wait to book my next trip with One Life. Coron was incredible!
- Sagada & Banaue Rice Terraces 4-Day Tour
Amazing, rich tour with a lot packed in- serious value for money! Rohan was one of the best guides I have ever had, and he clearly loves this part of the Philippines!
- A Week In Palawan, Philippines
Hello, It was organized well but still I want to underline some facts. The hotels and the hotel personel were fine, nice and always trying to help. The van was very crowded and we had an unconfortable transfer from Puerta Princesa to El Nido. And half of the passangers were not wearing face maskes. We had some little problems in El Nido part. The islands tour was cancelled because of bad weather but there should be a plan B for our only full day there, in El Nido. So with the help of hotel stuff we aranged an inland tour to visit different beaches there. The day we have left the Hotel in El Nido, we were told that a van would be waiting for us. Some time later we had learned that actually it is a treike that was waiting to pick us for the airport. On the wat to airport it just fell down a lagguage of us. It was broken. Anyway we have good memories and nothing very very important has occured. Thanks
Travel Luzon Island your way
Our Luzon adventures are really hitting the mark with travelers who want to dig deeper into the Philippines. The 4-day mountain expedition is particularly popular - you'll head into the Cordillera range where the UNESCO rice terraces spread across the slopes, and then venture underground in Sumaguing Cave. It's properly active stuff; you need decent fitness for the cave exploration and mountain trails. For a longer journey, there's our 10-day Northern Philippines route that includes a trek to Mt Pinatubo's crater lake, where you'll get your hands dirty learning from local communities. If you're after something more off-grid, we run tours to traditional Ifugao villages like Cambulo and Batad. You'll sleep in basic guesthouses right in the mountains - it's simple accommodation but you're living right in the heart of authentic mountain culture.

Best places to start your Luzon Island tour
Manila is where most Luzon tours kick off - we've got 33 different trips starting there. You can also begin from Puerto Princesa with 7 options, El Nido with 3 tours and also Coron with 2 choices. Looking at how our customers book, we suggest getting your spot about 39 days before you want to travel, particularly for those popular rice terrace tours in peak season. The accommodations can be simple in some spots along these routes, so it's good to know what to expect when picking your tour. Our past travelers really value having English-speaking guides; they often tell us how these local experts made such a difference in understanding the indigenous customs and historical places. Most tours let you cancel with a full refund up to 7 days before you leave, which takes the pressure off your planning.

Fall brings clear skies and comfortable temperatures to northern Luzon. Travelers often choose heritage journeys through colonial towns combined with treks to Sagada's hanging coffins and burial caves. Our mountain adventures are particularly popular, mixing hikes through terraced landscapes with village life - you'll craft traditional items, share community meals and stay in local guesthouses. Some trips line up with local festivals and harvest celebrations, while others focus on capturing the rice terraces when they turn golden just before harvest. Looking at the tour options in Luzon, Abraham Tours offers good value with their 4-day Sagada and Banaue Rice Terraces package - it's popular with our budget-conscious travelers who want to really understand local culture. Just keep in mind some people mentioned basic accommodations and hygiene standards that weren't quite what they expected. If you've got more time and budget, TourRadar customers who've taken One Life Adventures' 14-day Philippines Classic tour say it changed how they see the world. The company puts real effort into working with local communities and plans everything down to the smallest detail. TruTravels has also built up quite a following for their Philippines West tour. Their guides bring tons of energy and enthusiasm, and travelers particularly love spending time at Camp Carabao for what they call the "Castaway" experience - it's a chance to disconnect and live simply on a remote beach for a while. Each option lets you experience Luzon differently - from quick cultural immersions to longer journeys that really let you settle into local life.
