What people love about Sorrento Tours
- Local Living Italy—Amalfi Coast Winter
Overall this was a really nice tour! Anna was so sweet and a great guide. The only negative thing was that my dietary restrictions were misread in the beginning (I’m a pescatarian) So the first night there was a bit of confusion over my meal. They were able to remedy it though and find me a meat substitue. A few of vegetarian main dishes were kind of disappointing, but overall the food was excellent! I will highly recommend this tour to any friends looking to tour the amalfi coast!
- Italy Must-See: Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Florence, Cinque Terre & more!
The portion of the trip starting from Naples and staying in Sorrento was a truly special experience. There were only 8 of us in the group and we all became very close. I am so glad I got Giovanni as a guide because, in addition to being incredibly informative, he was truly part of the group and we all had an absolute blast together! Something to know about the Italy Must-See tour is that the portion starting in Naples and the Florence portion are completely different tours that the company connects for you. Italy on a Budget Tours was fantastic regarding getting me my train ticket and taking care of all the logistical stuff regarding travel and making a personal itinerary for each client. Their customer service is also fantastic, with a live chat through Whatsapp to answer any questions you have. However, I was under the impression that I would be with the same people for 7 days. Rather, I learned when my trip started that everyone else was only doing the 3 nights of the trip and I was the only one going to Florence. I was initially worried that I had met up with the wrong group because of this. I would personally suggest doing the trip that meets in Naples and staying in Southern Italy for a few more nights, then doing your own tour of Florence if you so choose. The tours in Florence are different in the sense that they are more a series of day trips with different people who have booked that trip for the day than it is traveling with one group of people. This made the experience feel a bit less social, especially since there were about 40 people on the trip to Tuscany. Additionally, the Pisa/Cinque Terre trip was far too rushed. I personally did not go to Pisa with the group and went straight to Cinque Terre and met up with the group there, which gave me a bit more time in one of the towns. However, Cinque Terre is incredibly crowded and the trains are frequently delayed. This in addition to having 3 towns on the agenda made for a day of public transport more than seeing the towns. I would personally have been happier with 3-4 hours in one of the Cinque Terre towns and really gotten time to swim and eat than get half an hour to get halfway down a street. Overall, the company was incredibly accommodating and truly took care of absolutely everything, which was great. I do feel that, had I known that the 3-night Florence tour was a string of separate day trips, I would have gone on my own and booked day trips myself.
- Amalfi Coast Experience
I went on the 4 day Amalfi Coast tour in early August 2013. The trip was absolutely wonderful 4 days of dreamy Italian sights, food and Fun! Irene was an amazing tour guide keeping a high level of energy, enthusiasm and passion for Italy going for the four days. The group was nice and intimate with 8 of us in total. Sunning ourselves on boat trips to Capri and Amalfi were my highlights including slurping on Lemoncello spiked granitas. Irene took us to amazing restaurants with good value set menu prices. You will not go hungry on this trip. Thanks again Irene definitely the best organised tour I have even been on!
