What people love about England And Wales Tours
- Best of Britain (14 Days)
Loved every minute of the tour
- Real Britain (9 Days)
Professionally managed. John Barleyman, our Tour Director, was superb. We were pampered with VIP treatment.
- Best of Britain - 10 Days/9 Nights
Everything was great. The only issues were with some of the hotels. One room smelled like smoke and one the shower was clogged. Also, the breakfasts were great. A suggestion for dinners though would be to offer a basic dinner option for picky eaters. Harry our tour guide was awesome. We really liked him. Dennis our bus driver, drove through the narrow streets like a pro. Both were very pleasant, professional and made our tour an amazing vacation!

See all Coach / Bus toursOur explorer tours really get to the heart of Britain, starting right in London before heading to Oxford where you can glide past college gardens on traditional punts. Cardiff's a highlight for many of our guests - especially Doctor Who fans who love tracking down filming spots before we head into Snowdonia's wild landscapes. Up in the Lake District, you'll walk where Wordsworth once stepped and take a cruise on Lake Windermere; many travelers say this part stays with them. The Edinburgh portion takes you through the winding streets of the Old Town that gave J.K. Rowling her Harry Potter inspiration, and you can climb Arthur's Seat for some fantastic city views. Our customers often tell us they love how these tours mix the famous spots with local secrets they'd never find on their own.
Select from our extensive range of 72 fully guided tours to enjoy a worry-free experience through England and Wales with our expert guides leading the way.
The longer tours spanning 10-14 days give travelers our deepest dive into British culture, weaving together landmark sites and authentic local connections. During these journeys, you might find yourself joining a Welsh male voice choir practice one evening, then wandering York's medieval Shambles the next day. Our customers especially appreciate how we balance guided experiences with independent exploration time, allowing them to discover Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon or strike up conversations at historic pubs. The cultural touches make these tours special - from afternoon tea in Cotswold manors, to private viewings of Chippendale furniture collections and, hands-on experiences at working sheep farms along the Scottish borders. Some itineraries let you sleep in 13th-century castles and enjoy medieval feasts, while others take you into Bath Abbey after regular hours for exclusive access. Tour guides consistently receive high praise for making history tangible - explaining ancient stone circles' significance, sharing Industrial Revolution stories at Ironbridge Gorge and, connecting Beatles sites to Liverpool's rich cultural fabric.

Small Group
5 tours in England and WalesSmall group experiences through Britain shine in our most popular cultural tours, which carefully balance exploration with proper pacing. A top choice among our travelers is the 12-day journey where groups punt past Oxford's colleges, seek out Doctor Who's Cardiff connections and trek through Snowdonia's wild terrain. The intimate group size means travelers connect deeply with our guides, who bring British history and traditions to life through their detailed storytelling. Another favorite is our 10-day exploration of York, Chester, and ancient Roman fortifications, complete with traditional afternoon tea at Cotswold estates and engaging visits to working Highland farms. For those with less time, the 8-day London to Edinburgh route takes small groups across the historic Ironbridge Gorge, through Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford and into Edinburgh's maze of cobblestone alleys and lanes. Our travelers often tell us how these smaller groups let them slip into tiny village pubs, engage with local residents and adjust the daily rhythm to match everyone's pace, while expert guides share stories that bring each location to life.

Our 3-day tours through Wales and southern England make every moment count. From Bristol, you'll head to St Davids - Britain's smallest city - where the 12th-century cathedral stands proud against the coastline. The route winds along Pembrokeshire to the lovely seaside town of Tenby. If you're starting in Manchester, we'll take you through Snowdonia National Park and also Portmeirion, an Italian-style village that our guests keep raving about. North Wales tours include stops at Conwy Castle and the South Stack Lighthouse on Anglesey Island. The evenings are special - our travelers often tell us how much they love joining male choir rehearsals and trying local dishes in traditional pubs.
Seven days gives you time to properly discover Britain. The journey from London takes you west through the Cotswolds villages and into Wales, where Cardiff shows two sides: its magnificent castle and the modern Bay area that's transformed from industrial port to cultural center. Moving north, you'll follow routes through Snowdonia's peaks and along the Dee Valley, where canal boat rides turn out to be unexpected favorites among our guests. There's proper time set aside for Liverpool, which music fans love for its Beatles heritage, before heading to the Lake District to walk Wordsworth's favorite paths around Grasmere. Most tours wrap up in Edinburgh, where you can explore the medieval Royal Mile, cobbled alleys and also the elegant Georgian New Town at your own pace.
See all toursOur 10-day Britain tours really let you settle into the journey's rhythm. The most popular routes start in Edinburgh, taking in York's medieval streets and Chester's Roman walls before exploring Wales' dramatic castles. Our travelers particularly value the mix of city and countryside - you might be watching the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace one day and walking Hadrian's Wall the next. These longer tours include special experiences like afternoon tea at Cotswold manor houses and also hands-on visits to traditional sheep farms in the Highlands. Many guests mention how much they enjoy the overnight stays in 13th-century castles, complete with moats and medieval banquets. The pace works well for people who want to see a lot but still have time to wander through places like Stratford-upon-Avon or Bath at their own speed.
