Why Trafalgar
Must-sees to local secrets
The deep connections in every destination nurtured over more than 75 years as travel’s world leader, enables us to deliver the best of the world unlocked for you. Enjoy exclusive skip-the-line access at not-to-miss sights like the Vatican, Versailles or Sydney’s Opera House out of hours, matched with off the path local favourites with a Local Specialist by your side and all made possible by our Travel Experts. Together, the must-see icons and local secrets are the special memories and life-changing experiences that make you feel like an insider, not a tourist.
One-of-a-kind experiences
Enjoy unmatched access to communities and locals around the world. Be My Guest, the original local travel experience, is exclusive to Trafalgar. More than 100 locals from over 50 countries open their homes, wineries, farms and properties exclusively for our guests. From Italian aristocrats, Icelandic musicians, Spanish olive oil producers Costa Rican farmers, to New Zealand horse racing royalty, hear their stories and learn about their culture firsthand, shared over the universal language of good food. You’ll also find yourself overnighting at select Stays with Stories accommodation experiences, that are part of the heritage and fabric of the communities you visit, like Welsh Castles and historic Hampton’s Inns.

From planning to booking to travel, we take care of it all. Before you travel, enjoy risk-free and flexible booking terms and travel knowing that from the second you arrive in your destination to the moment you depart; everything is taken care of. Simply dream, pack, enjoy, and leave the rest to us.
Responsible Travel
We recognise our responsibility to ensure our impact on the planet we call home, the people we visit, and the rich wildlife we find there, is a positive one. We ensure the impact of our business and your travels is positive in two ways: through our TreadRight Foundation, and our 5-year sustainability strategy, How We Tread Right, which come to life for you through MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experiences. You’ll enjoy at least one MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience on every tour, and you’ll feel good knowing that each of these experiences directly support 11 of the 17 United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring your journey leaves a lasting, positive impact.

Responsible Travel
WE MAKE TRAVEL MATTER®
Our sustainability strategy, How We Tread Right, is our guiding light on how we run our business and how we travel. It is based on 11 measurable goals anchored to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which address the issues of climate change, sustainable food production, waste reduction, travel experiences, wildlife, diversity and inclusion.
You can travel knowing that our 4-point Climate Action Plan is guiding us toward net zero or near net zero emissions by 2050. As the only tour company with an internal carbon fund to transition to low carbon, backed by validated near-term, long-term and net zero targets, we are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and restoring nature’s ability to respond to the climate crisis.
We don’t travel to experience sameness – we explore to meet different people, hear new perspectives and experience new places. To us, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is much more than sustainability, it’s how we operate as a business. From taking concrete actions to increase diverse representation across our teams to targeted partnerships that directly support underrepresented communities, DEI is ingrained in our day-to-day at all levels of our business and across all countries.
Every one of our tours has at least one MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience that gets you up close and personal to positive impact by advancing one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
