What people love about Scotland Tours
- Highlights of Scotland
My husband and I just returned from the Highlights of Scotland Tour. We had a great time! We would go back to Scotland again and soon! The country is beautiful, and the people are very friendly. The itinerary was great. Our introduction to Scotland, on this tour, covered a lot of ground. We did a loop around the country and were able to enjoy a lot of different landscapes. We enjoyed the activity level included in the tour as well. Our tour guide, Martin, was excellent. He is a native of Scotland and it was obvious that he loves his country. We would recommend this trip to anyone as long as they are active.
- 5 Day Skye & Highland Fling
A fantastic tour through the highlands! Our tour guide Neil has incredible knowledge of historical, environmental and cultural elements of the Highlands, and presented it in a humorous and engaging way, even through music! The tour reached a variety of sites to show the qualities of the highlands (which there are many!). Highly recommended, particularly if on a lighter budget but wanting to experience the area.
- Scottish Royal
The tour guide, Linda, was great as was the coach driver, Mike. The coach was very comfortable and the sites we visited were great. The tour was well organized and well executed. The meals were very good as well. The only thing making this “good” and not “excellent” is that I had to sleep on a pullout couch for three nights of the tour which much surprised me for something billed as a first class tour. So if you plan to go three to a room, be prepared for someone to be on a couch.

"Stephen B was our tour guide and he was excellent. The only thing that might have been better was I would have liked to hear more of his stories and anecdotes as he was very entertaining.

"This tour is exactly what's advertised - a 5 day introduction to the wonders of the Scottish highlands. Our guide Neil was exceptional, and I loved his storytelling, humor, and music playlist. More importantly, the tour was curated very well. There were multiple options we could choose from each day, based on what the group's interests were. We chose more hiking-focused activities. Isle of Skye, and the highlands in general is magical, and Macbackpackers is the perfect tour operator is you are a young dude or dudette. On Skye, Neil took us to some amazing hidden-gem trails - will definitely return on a longer trip! It was a balanced itinerary, with very diverse experiences (eg- Swimming in loch ness, lots of waterfalls, dancing in Oban was amazing). Finally, the group was easy going, and it was very easy to get along and become friends.
