Neil was an excellent guide throughout the trip, honestly some of my favorite parts was listening to him tell us Scottish Folktales. It just felt like I was in the stories, as Neil described what unfolded we were actually around the places where these things happened. He just cares so much about his country and he brings his passion for it to every aspect of the tour. My other favorite moment was when we all jumped into Loch Ness, Neil looked at us like we were crazy but he found us a spot where it would be easy to swim. Honestly, simultaneously the coldest and best swim I've ever had. This trip was just such an adventure, and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wanted to see AND experience Scotland.
- by WandererEpic Highland Adventure with MacBackpackers Just got back from a backpacking tour with MacBackpackers through the Highlands and Isle of Skye, and it was incredible! The guides were super knowledgeable and chill, making the whole trip fun and laid-back. The scenery was out of this world—think misty mountains, crystal-clear lochs, and stunning peaks. The hikes were challenging but manageable, and the group vibe was awesome. Neil (our guide/driver/new best friend) made the drive unforgettable by sharing his playlist with us. The stunning landscapes and the lore he added gave the the magical context and background for these amazing locations. Ive never felt like ive been closer to heaven or magic. If you’re looking for adventure, good vibes, and unreal landscapes, this tour is a must. Can’t wait to do it again!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this, our first-ever bus tour. Our guide Chloe provided lots of historical, geographic, and cultural information through running commentary during our drives and at each of our stops. Her delivery was delightful and spirited, and she responded to our many questions with enthusiasm. At times the road noise made hearing her difficult, but Chloe turned up the volume when we let her know. We are in our 70's and were concerned about slowing the group down, but Chloe was able to accommodate me without impairing the others. The accommodations were quite comfortable and the breakfast yummy. We plan to take another tour soon.

We had an excellent experience, Angela the guide was super (safe driving, clear communication, kind willingness to adjust, in my case recommending alternate walks when the group was embarked on a hike a bit above my level), hotels comfortable, food very good. Another lovely trip purchased from Tour Radar!
- by Helene MacLeodSkara Brae, the Stones of Stenness and the Brough of Birsay were all priorities for me and I was very fortunate to be able to experience all three!

Everything about this tour was fantastic. Can’t say enough about Alan, our guide. He made the trip for us. I would highly recommend this tour and the company
- by LoriI don’t want to do a review yet. We missed the second week of the tour because we were sick.

Tour guide and bus driver were both excellent. Starting hotel was terrible and no where near the main area of Edinburgh. Breakfast there was a granola bar, croissant in a plastic wrap, a yogurt, and a juice box. Our hotel room in Inverness had a leaky ceiling which we reported to the front desk right away. They said they sent maintenance to fix the issue, but that evening it was leaking again. G Adventures itinerary is not reflective of the actual tour and for many extra activities listed there was no time to do them even if we had wanted to. Isle of Skye was a real highlight along with Inverness. We only received our tour vouchers the night before we left Canada and we had to call to get it. We will not consider G Adventures for any of our future travel needs.
- by Bradley UberigThis was my second G Adventures tour and it proved to be as enjoyable as the first one, which was the main reason my wife and I booked it. The small size of the tour group and the variety of people made it all the better. The tour offered a good balance between structured visits of major attractions and free time to explore on our own. I would not hesitate to recommend a G Adventures tour to anyone seeking a guided travel experience in the company of other like-minded travelers.

My partner and I took a two-week bus tour of the UK and Ireland in September 2024 with Globus. The tour itself was OK but, except for a couple nice ones, most of the hotels they provided were horrible. They were small, old, run-down, poorly lit, and dingy. Globus, in their brochure, promised first-class hotels for the trip but they deceived us in this. I would not rate them even three stars. This was very disappointing and took away a lot from the enjoyment of the trip. Please be aware that this is a second-rate travel company. Pick another one if you can. The trip itself was not good value!

Great trip - no hiccups, hotels fine considering the remoteness of some. Driver, Nat, and Guide, Mike, should be congratulated for their work to make this trip so good.
- by Cynthia HELEN HowesMy Mom and I absolutely loved this tour! Our tour guide Alex was so kind and thoughtful. He took very good care of us! Our bus driver Craig was also amazing. My Mom is 88 and Craig was so good to make sure she got down the bus stairs safely! Scotland and England are beautiful countries filled with rich history!

0verrall, the itinerary was excellent, providing loads of history. It would have been a great addition to include some folk or Gaelic music...a pub experience. One four star restaurant would be sufficient. The accomodation was comfortable with a staff ready to meet traveller's needs.
- by Patricia MillsI would have liked to see more of the main n island plus some other islands. I free afternoon is enough. Also I would have liked that the big cairn be included.

It was poorly organized. The people on the trip were not very sociable, & none of the activities could take place
- by Cody VerstappenTour was good. Enjoyed the sheepdog experience immensely. But the trip manager slept with people on the tour which ruined the mood.

Started well ended bad Our driver Rob a young but grossly overweight man kept the temperature in the bus cold all the time as he was sweating, while he only wore short sleeve shirt all passenger had 3 layers and coat on On the 8th day 12 out of the 18 were coughing and sneezing I took all precautions as I got weak immune system from cancer but fall ill as well so missed out on events plus on a world trip and now have to continue being sick it's simply unacceptable behaviour from a driver. We asked to put the temperature up but it never happened. This simply ruined my while experience
- by laszlo balazsWow! What a tour! Richard (tour leader) and Abby (driver) are possibly the the two most awesome Scot’s in the world! Thorough knowledge and willingness to find information was an absolute measure of Richard’s skill and experience as a guide! He was perfect as a guide, showing humour, kindness and preparedness to go above and beyond our expectations! Abby was the most confident and courteous driver I have ever experienced. Calm when dealing with tourist

The trip was excellent. Our tour guide, Graeme, did a wonderful job, regaling us on all things Scottish, was so considerate, and very helpful. He recommended restaurants and other places to buy food, and made extra stops when requested. For our tour of Skye, the weather cooperated, even in the middle of winter, making the trip truly the best Scotland has to offer.
- by Jacqueline DengelEverything from the ease of the booking process to the comprehensive itinery was great! Tour Radar demonstrated excellent customer care with regular updates, reminders and useful information. Would thoroughly recommend using them as I will be in the future.

Our guide, Graeme, was excellent! He shared a ton of history, some good jokes, and kept us entertained the entire time. We were even able to experience some unexpected stops because of his expertise. Definitely will use Rabbie’s again!
- by Clint ParkerMicheal our driver was a fantastic tour guide and story teller. He went above and beyond to show us around even with road and snow conditions being challenging. The 3 stars is due to the accommodation arrangements Rabbies organised. At Broadford there was only one place open to have dinner that required a long walk on a dark frozen pathway that was quite treacherous and scary. We chose to stay in our room and had tea and toast our first night, then Micheal took us to the co op the next evening to buy supplies for dinner. The seat belts on the bus kept coming undone, and there was nowhere to even put a drink bottle.

Our tour guide, Ryan, was outstanding! He immediately put us at ease with his friendly and personable manner. His knowledge of the complicated roads and history of the areas we visited gave us the safety we needed to deeply enjoy the beautiful landscapes and fascinating history Scotland has. Thank you for the perfect vacation!
- by Tamara AleyThe Spirit of Outlander tour was great! This tour is geared for Outlander fans but you don't have to be a fan to enjoy all the locations visited. Our tour guide, Paul, was fantastic! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism was 5-star! It was very exciting to visit the filming sites of Outlander and to be walking in the footsteps of the actors! There were a variety of locations to visit daily from castles to churches and gardens. There were also unscheduled photo stops to capture the scenic beauty on the way to visiting various locations. My husband and I waited over 2 years to take this trip (due to Covid) and it was worth the wait! The hotels were top notch and the meals provided were good! A thoroughly exciting trip!
