Stephen B was our tour guide and he was excellent. The only thing that might have been better was I would have liked to hear more of his stories and anecdotes as he was very entertaining.
- by Catherine WallaceGuides were excellent. 8 day tour should have remained with one guide/group. Was not expecting a split tour. Check in was confusing as not advised properly of guide/bus that we were travelling with. Travelled with other couple and both were told different guide names of which were both wrong.

This tour is exactly what's advertised - a 5 day introduction to the wonders of the Scottish highlands. Our guide Neil was exceptional, and I loved his storytelling, humor, and music playlist. More importantly, the tour was curated very well. There were multiple options we could choose from each day, based on what the group's interests were. We chose more hiking-focused activities. Isle of Skye, and the highlands in general is magical, and Macbackpackers is the perfect tour operator is you are a young dude or dudette. On Skye, Neil took us to some amazing hidden-gem trails - will definitely return on a longer trip! It was a balanced itinerary, with very diverse experiences (eg- Swimming in loch ness, lots of waterfalls, dancing in Oban was amazing). Finally, the group was easy going, and it was very easy to get along and become friends.
- by Ashwin S. HebbarAmazing tour! Our guide Neil was funny and engaging, lovely experience. Would highly, highly recommend for Scotland!

Great accommodation and food in Portree Comfortable bus seats, particularly the smaller bus, Thoroughly enjoyed having Connor as our guide, a great storyteller, friendly. Stunning scenery, we were lucky with weather
- by Janice BestThe trip was awesome! Our guide, Alistair, was kind and super knowledgeable! We were able to see/experience a little bit of everything and appreciate the rich history and beauty of the Highlands. I definitely recommend this trip to anyone curious about Scotland.

The only let down was when the coach left the tour, and taxis and trains with the luggage was a struggle. Hotel selection, excursions, and guide were all first class. Had a very uncomfortable trip up to Glasgow, coach had no cooling, arrived ridiculously late, no arrangements regarding food, from time of meeting at 16.30 until breakfast the next morning.
- by Brian HartOur tour guide, Tony Walker, was excellent. Since this was a first for this itinerary, there were a lot of travel issues and Tony was great at solving them. Culture Tours need to acknowledge how good a tour guide and leader he was for them. Here are my comments, in no special order. - More trip details as very vague in the itinerary, i.e. daily timetables for stops - Timely receipt of changes to original schedule of events - Notification of roommate and contact info when sharing room (prior to trip start) - Daily events need to be better scheduled. Too many crammed into some days causing early starts and late day endings. - Long distances to each night's stop causing long days on coach and trains - More centrally located hotels with dining options nearby. - Disliked hotel in Inverness. Staff almost rude and not helpful when we wanted a cab. Way too far from the city center. No amenities in the room - i.e. soap, shampoo, lotions, etc. - Name tags for tour members

I don’t want to do a review yet. We missed the second week of the tour because we were sick.

Very bad experience it’s supossed we had to return at 8 pm but our bus had a problem in lake ness, we had to wait in lake need about 5 hours for a new bus who took us to Inverness to tala train to trier to Edinburgh at 12 pm because it was the last train and when I called the company asking for a titila reimburse of my money they said they are not responsable only they can give me back 20% because I signed terms and condition and they are not liable for the people or the cars they have.

My Mom and I absolutely loved this tour! Our tour guide Alex was so kind and thoughtful. He took very good care of us! Our bus driver Craig was also amazing. My Mom is 88 and Craig was so good to make sure she got down the bus stairs safely! Scotland and England are beautiful countries filled with rich history!
- by Carol BloomfieldThe tour with the sites that we visited was great. Alison, out tour director, was wonderful, very knowledgeable. Arthur, our bus driver was also great. Our one day tour guide and bus driver, Ann, was also great. I was not so impressed with the breakfast menu of cooked food. It was the same at every hotel. They need to change up the menu.

We had a wonderful time! Chaz was an amazing guide, great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. A great story teller! Highly recommend this tour.
- by Rita NicholsonThe bus can be improved by putting cup holders on seats, and netting on top shelve. We had lots of things fall off shelve. I liked the tour but would love more history of the country, the guide was good but could be better. Over all good tour

This is a fantastic company. Tour guide brilliant. Would recommend. Plan to do another tour with HAGGIS ADVENTURES
- by Margaret M HamiltonThe destinations and the guide were excellent! Dusty is an excellent guide and did an amazing job of keeping us informed and on time. The only area I would say needs to be changed is the size of the bus seats. When driving around for 5 days the seats are small and not as comfortable as other tours.

0verrall, the itinerary was excellent, providing loads of history. It would have been a great addition to include some folk or Gaelic music...a pub experience. One four star restaurant would be sufficient. The accomodation was comfortable with a staff ready to meet traveller's needs.
- by Patricia MillsWonderful guides! They were always helpful, happy and friendly and really made the trip smooth and successful. The hikes were pleasant and the challenge of climbing up to Ben Nevis was rewarding. Amazing landscapes! Can only recommend this trip to anyone.
