What people love about Scotland Tours in July
- Best of Scotland (Summer, 7 Days)
The final day of our trip BHLD, we were asked to fill a questionnaire about our trip impressions. I glanced through it and I felt it was insufficient to express our feelings. I believe a 1-10 rating was not fair for this case. In my mind, if a travel director meets the complete itinerary, a 10 is a fair rating. In our case, we were lucky to have the most professional and dedicated tour director. Rose went beyond our expectations. She took note of every participant needs and wants. As a result, she made sure that they were met. One day for instance, Rose was up from 7 AM to at least 9 PM, to ensure everyone satisfaction and peace of mind. She also made sure to point all worthwhile aspect of our tour. We got away in love with a beautiful country. Not a single complaint from us or our other tour takers. Rose deserved a full 20 rating. I have no doubt she is the best travel director at Trafalgar. Wojciech is a real professional driver. We felt safe in even the narrowest roads I have ever seen. He kept the coach clean, the windows cleaner, and he always had a smile on his face. He also deserves a full 20 rating. Not everything in life is perfect. Most of the hotels we stayed in had more that one fault. The sales brochures stated that the hotels were first class. Sorry, they were not. I urge to make sure that future brochures indicate that the hotels you choose are among the best available choice given the locations where they are situated. Then, the complains will be more in line with expectations. Highlights of the trip were lunch with the Wood family, and the Highland farm experience. Overall we were very satisfied, but just wanted you to know what was exceptionally good, and not so good. Our aim in writing these comment where made to help you in keeping Trafalgar high standards. Thank you for a lovely time, German & Yolanda Acosta
- 4-Day Islay & the Whisky Coast Small-Group Tour from Edinburgh Including Admissions
The Rabbie's 4-Day Islay & the Whisky Coast was a great vacation. We visited the major distilleries on Islay as well as some smaller ones. The hotel was located right near Bowmore and had a really good breakfast (included). Our tour guide, Al, was great. He had lots of interesting bits of information. Some small some big things about Scotland. We also stopped at a bunch of historical sites too. Only issue is that July and August are the 'quiet season' for many distilleries. Most of the distilleries didn't have tours. All of them were open for tastings. That's the main attraction for this tour.
- Orkney & The Far North
Good value. Excellent driver. Saw all and more than brochure said.
