What people love about Ireland Tours
- Wild South - Multi-Day - Small Group Tour of Ireland
We can't say enough about our recent Wild n Happy "Wild South" tour. It was 8 days of beautiful scenery, expert guides, and a wonderful mixture of nature and history. Can't recommend it enough. Highlights of the tour were West Cork, Ring of Kerry, Dingle and Cliffs of Moher, but also Kinsale was charming and Killarney & the National Forest are wonderful. I guess the tour was just that -- full of highlights. Well done, Wild n Happy crew -- thanks for a highly memorable tour of Ireland.

This is beyond my expectation, the Tour Van went to very wonderful places that big buses cannot go , the Tour Guide gave us historical facts n personalized extra places we wanted to see. He accompanied us to restaurants pubs that locals go to. We went to Ireland’s treasured spots . This is the way to see Ireland in a van called Wild N Happy with Michael n Thomas. Even Wild Ophelia cannot stop Michael from showing us Killarney. Must see Killarney National Park, Ring Kerry, Dingle,Skellig, Ross Castle, King John Castle, The Birds n the Cave, Cliffs Mohr . Go with Wild n Happy u will be Happy .
- Wild South - Multi-Day - Small Group Tour of Ireland
It was beyond my expectation & I will you why. I experienced the breath taking scenery of the path towards the Mizen Head signal station. We climb the stairs to the very top. We went to cliff similar to cliffs of Moher & went to the very edge crawling to take a peep at the edge of the cliff, saw the wild waters down below. We toured Rock of Cashel, its history & the hidden passage way , toured Dingle, went to the Inch beach & loved the wide beach shore, must see too King John's castle, experience the wild birds & its cave. I love their seafood chowder, their pub's music & I just ordered water for myself, dance with the locals just for a good experience, go happy & wild why not, the Irish folks are so friendly. The van with small group is the way to tour because it goes to the off beaten pathways, driven by a knowledgeable historian. The lodging were really 4 star for me, with delicious buffet. Hence I rate Wild n Happy as 5 star.

Southern Ireland captivates visitors with authentic experiences that show the real essence of Irish culture. The seaside town of Dingle has become a firm favorite among our travelers - you'll find traditional music flowing from historic pubs while locals share stories over a pint, plus regular visits from Fungie, the town's resident dolphin who's made quite a name for himself. The Ring of Kerry offers raw coastal beauty with winding roads that lead to hidden beaches, ancient stone forts and also fishing villages that seem frozen in time. At the Cliffs of Moher, our guests consistently tell us how the massive rock faces rising from the churning Atlantic leave them speechless - it's simply impossible to grasp the true scale until you're standing there yourself. For the best experience, visit these coastal spots during spring (April-May) or autumn (September-October) when you'll find fewer crowds and typically mild weather, though you'll definitely want to pack waterproof gear since Irish weather changes at a moment's notice.
See all Southern Ireland toursThe Wild Atlantic Way pulls you right into Ireland's raw coastal spirit, especially where Atlantic waves pound against the 700-foot Cliffs of Moher. Our travelers keep telling us how the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula turned into the best parts of their Irish experience - you follow winding roads that cling to the coast while green valleys roll inland as far as you can see. What really makes these places come alive is the genuine Irish welcome you'll find, from cozy pubs filled with music to locals sharing stories over a pint. The guides know exactly how to bring each spot to life, weaving Irish folklore with historical tales that transform regular touring into something much more meaningful.

Hikers looking to explore Ireland's rugged landscapes have several outstanding 5-7 day options that showcase its diverse and dramatic terrain. The most recommended routes blend the lunar-like Burren, where Arctic, Alpine, and Mediterranean flowers thrive on limestone pavements, with the spectacular Connemara National Park, where Diamond Hill offers some of the best views in County Galway. The Aran Islands add a coastal twist, combining scenic paths with visits to ancient stone fortifications perched on cliffs. For those seeking more challenging hikes, the Wild Atlantic Way provides opportunities for proper mountain climbs. Ascend Mount Brandon via the pilgrim route, gaining 750 meters for panoramic views of the Dingle Peninsula, or tackle Croagh Patrick’s 764-meter peak for a rewarding trek steeped in history. Easier walks include the stunning Cliffs of Moher or Connemara's rolling trails, while the Burren offers a surreal experience of hiking on karst landscapes interspersed with unique flora. Hiking difficulty varies, ranging from moderate 2-3 hour coastal walks to demanding 6-hour mountain ascents. What makes these trips stand out is the balance between testing peaks and gentler trails, combined with expert guides who adapt routes based on weather and group ability. These guides also share a wealth of knowledge about the area's geology, flora, and history, enhancing the experience. Whether climbing mountains, walking coastal paths, or exploring ancient ruins, these tours provide an unforgettable mix of Ireland's raw beauty, cultural heritage, and natural wonders.

The most popular 7-day routes take you kayaking with dolphins near Dingle, hiking the mighty Cliffs of Moher and cycling through Killarney National Park. Our customers particularly enjoy the small group format, usually 8-12 people, which lets them visit hidden spots like the remote Aran Islands where you'll pick up some Gaelic phrases from locals. What makes these tours special is the mix of activities - one day you're kissing the Blarney Stone, the next you're surfing at Inch Beach and later sailing to islands where ancient stone forts perch dramatically over the Atlantic.

If you're looking to join a quality Ireland tour, our travelers consistently give high marks to Wild 'N Happy for several good reasons. Their guides really know their local history and culture, and with smaller groups, you can actually get to know your fellow travelers. They make it a point to take you to authentic spots where you'll meet local people and hear their stories. Overland Ireland is another solid choice that our customers love - they've got some interesting routes that mix well-known sites with hidden local spots, and they use comfortable buses that make the travel time between stops actually enjoyable. For folks who want more choices in terms of budget and style, CIE Tours International has built up a good reputation. They run everything from basic tours that won't break the bank to high-end experiences with all the extras. Their guides are properly trained and know their stuff, and the whole operation runs like clockwork according to our travelers. The key is to look closely at what each day involves and check recent reviews from people who've taken these tours. Different companies have different styles - some focus more on history, others on nature and some on meeting locals. It's worth taking time to match up what you want to see and do with what each tour actually offers.
