What people love about Budget Tours in Ireland
- Irish Discovery
Every aspect met my expectations. Mary the tour was very knowledgeable, helpful and sweet. Absolutely love George our coach driver, a safe confident driver. Hotel accommodations were excellent.
- 5 Day Dublin including Giants Causeway, Cliffs of Moher, Galway City & Cahir Castles
Great tour, get to see Ireland’s highlights! STM incredibly responsive, one of the tours was cancelled and STM was more aware of the concerns than the tour company’s employees.
- The Celtic Voyage - Multi-Day - Small Group Tour of Ireland
I planned an impromptu trip to Ireland on a whim and I'm so glad I did! Ireland was everything I could have expected and then some!!!! Wild n Happy played a huge part in this experience. I went solo and was met with a wonderful group of strangers and a very knowledgeable tour guide. By the last day I was in tears because I didn't want to leave my new family. We saw a lot, we ate a lot and we laughed a lot. Michael was so kind and informative. Ask him anything and I guarantee he knows the answer! I can honestly say this was the experience of a lifetime and I am so glad I went with wild n happy! I will be back again!
What our customers ask about Budget Tours to Ireland
What type of accommodation can I expect on budget tours in Ireland?
Budget tours in Ireland put travelers in a mix of family-run guesthouses and 3-star hotels. Places like the Ardree House in Killarney offer clean, basic rooms and serve traditional Irish breakfasts. While these aren't luxury accommodations, they provide comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and often sit in central locations that make exploring easy.
When is the most affordable time to visit Ireland on a budget tour?
March and October offer the best value for money in Ireland. During these months, tourist numbers drop and tour prices can be 20-30% lower than peak season rates. Companies like Wild N' Happy run more frequent tours in summer (June-August) but offer better deals during spring and fall.
What meals are typically included in budget Ireland tours?
Budget tours in Ireland include daily Irish breakfasts, while lunch and dinner are self-paid. Travelers should plan for $30-40 per day for additional meals. Local guides point out good-value restaurants where visitors can try Irish specialties without breaking the bank.
What's included in the base price of a budget Ireland tour?
The base price covers the essentials: transportation in Wi-Fi equipped coaches, professional guides, hotel stays at places like Jurys Inn Belfast, and daily Irish breakfasts. This setup lets travelers explore Ireland's highlights while keeping costs down.
Are entrance fees included in budget tours of Ireland?
Major sites like the Cliffs of Moher come included in the tour price. Some optional activities require extra payment - entry to Blarney Castle, for example, costs about $15-20 extra. Tour operators clearly mark which attractions need additional payment.
What's the typical group size for budget tours in Ireland?
Budget tours keep groups small, usually maxing out at 16 people. This size works well for Ireland's narrow country roads and smaller hotels, while helping tour operators maintain reasonable prices.
