The 2 week camping tour of BC and Alberta was absolutely amazing. Marco was a fantastic guide, great cook, very friendly and knowledgable. Nature really shows off in the American Southwest, and Utah's Mighty 5 National Parks are the region's crown jewels. Our travelers can't stop talking about Bryce Canyon's towering hoodoo formations, which look particularly magical during those early morning rim walks. Getting out with Navajo guides in Monument Valley has become one of our most popular experiences - you'll wind through massive sandstone buttes while learning what this landscape means to the local people. The helicopter rides over the Grand Canyon give you a whole new perspective on just how enormous this natural wonder really is. For folks short on time, the 3-day Southwest Parks circuit works brilliantly - you'll see Zion's red cliffs, Bryce's rock amphitheaters and the Grand Canyon's vast depths in one efficient loop. Spring and fall hit the sweet spot with nice temperatures and fewer visitors. Our customers swear by early starts, not just to beat the heat but to catch that special morning light on the red rocks. If you're visiting in summer, plan your hiking for early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat.
See all USA tours toursThe Canadian Rockies offer some of North America's most impressive mountain settings, where our travelers often tell us they're at a loss for words when they first see the turquoise waters of Lake Louise and also Moraine Lake. Exploring Jasper National Park puts you right in the middle of untouched wilderness, with real chances to spot local wildlife going about their day. The drive along the Icefields Parkway really makes these tours special - you can actually walk on ancient glacier ice at the Columbia Icefield and also the Athabasca Glacier. Banff and Jasper serve as excellent home bases, with local guides like Ben Hutchinson sharing fascinating details about the area's geology and history. Summer visitors get to make the most of long daylight hours for hiking and photography, while winter brings the Northern Lights dancing across the sky and snow-covered peaks that transform the mountains into something quite magical.
See all Canada tours toursTiming really makes a difference in what you'll experience in Greenland's raw wilderness. Summer travelers heading over between June and August get endless daylight thanks to the midnight sun - perfect for watching massive icebergs drift by and exploring deep icefjords. Our TourRadar customers often tell us about their whale encounters in the clear waters and their visits with energetic sledge puppies in local villages. The winter months from September through April bring their own magic with the Northern Lights dancing overhead and authentic dog sledding through the snow. What makes these trips special is getting to know the local Inuit culture - you can step inside homes where residents show you their traditional clothing craft and often sell unique handmade pieces. Those colorful houses dotting the white landscape create perfect photo moments, and the hiking paths take you right up close to this frozen world. Many travelers tell us the Kaffemik gatherings are a highlight, where families welcome you in for coffee and stories, giving you real insight into daily life here.

North America's best hiking routes come alive through a mix of challenging and gentle trails. The Canadian Rockies tours get fantastic feedback from our travelers who love combining the Plain of Six Glaciers path around Lake Louise with easier walks through Jasper's Valley of Five Lakes. Yosemite offers that classic Mist Trail experience where you'll feel the spray from powerful waterfalls, plus the rewarding climb up Four Mile Trail to take in those valley views from Sentinel Dome. The Southwest draws hikers throughout the year - our guests really connect with Zion's massive red walls and the hidden spots within Bryce Canyon's natural red rock amphitheater. What makes these routes work so well is having clear trails plus guides who know their stuff, sharing cool details about the rocks, wildlife and local stories as you walk.

Both companies get consistently positive feedback from travelers who've actually taken their tours. Intrepid's Canadian Rockies trips stand out thanks to group leaders like Evan, who our customers say really knows his stuff and makes every day fun and interesting. He's especially good at handling all the little details that make a big difference when you're exploring mountain trails, glacial lakes and wildlife areas. Over in the American Southwest, Bindlestiff Tours has built quite a reputation with guides like Khriss and Rachel leading the way. Our travelers mention how well-organized everything is, from the comfortable camping setups to excellent meals in the outdoors. Khriss in particular gets mentioned a lot - customers love how he shares in-depth knowledge about the geology, history and nature while making sure everyone's having a good time, comfortable and engaged throughout the journey. The personal touch from these guides really shows in the reviews - they're not just showing you around, they're making sure you understand and connect with these remarkable places. Whether it's Evan explaining the formation of the Rockies or Khriss pointing out ancient petroglyphs in the desert, they bring these landscapes to life.

"Beautiful places, less good company as I ended up with an almost exclusively Chinese group, including tour guides, so a lot of Chinese was spoken. It was also a wild mix of different tours, so groups were constantly meeting and splitting up again and everything was a bit chaotic. Nevertheless, it was a very nice trip.

"I was not well when I commenced this tour but the tour guide cared for me until I improved. Niagara Falls and the beautiful colours of the autumn leaves along the highways were all amazing. Being next to an Amish female on the horse drawn carriage and learning about their lifestyle and family was a definite highlight. Philadelphia had lots of soup kitchens and people lined the streets for miles which was sad. New York City is vibrant and full of people but I prefer the countryside with peace and quiet.
