- Okavango Experience
It was my first time with Intrepid and with this kind of organized tour in general. I am use to travel a lot on my own to far destinations, mainly with 1-2 friends, however being this time alone I decided to give a try with Intrepid. Well, I have to say I can tell that my expectations have been all fullfilled or even by far exceeded! :) Meshack has been a great guide, as well as Danny as driver. Both very professional, with sense of Humor and super organized. We had a very tight schedule as every day we had to drive between 3 to 7hrs to the next destination, however we have never been late or missed something. All activities planned very were very well organized and allowed us really to do and see an impressive amount of places and wild animals in a very short amount of days. I would say the average age of the people was around 30, half couples and half friends/lonely travelers, most people were from countries were english is the mother tongue (mainly UK, Canada, Australia). The mood has been great for most of the trip and we never had any kind of fight or discussion within the group. If you are very indipendent, you might sometimes miss the freedom of organizing everything on your own, however there are some optional activities that allow for some flexibility and what to say, this is a group tour, so it's something you have to take into account from the beginning. That being said, the itinerary planned was great, the people and guide too and even being quite a wild and lonely traveler I barely missed that flexibility. So to sum up, I definetively liked this trip and recommend this tour to everybody, it has been a great experience. Suggest also to plan 1-2 days more before and after the tour to properly explore Johannesburg/Soweto and the Victoria Falls area.

We had a wonderful time! Rocky, Jimmy, and Simba were excellent as drivers, guides, cooks, and problem solvers. We ate very well indeed. I will comment that the tour we took was quite different from the stated description of it. For example, we did not go to the salt pan. It seems that Rocky, the boss of the crew, received a different itinerary than what we thought we would be doing. How did that happen? The places we did go were terrific, and it was not until the second last day of the trip, that we realised the discrepancy. Rocky offered us a way to go to the salt pan, but for a couple of reasons, we declined that offer. Please note that I am not complaining about Rocky, Jimmy, and Simba. They followed the information they had received. I will also say that while we were accepting of the situation, some people could have reacted differently, and that would not have been fair to our crew. To summarise, we loved the trip! Credit to Rocky, Jimmy, and Simba for looking after us so well and sharing their beautiful country with us. Sincerely, Arthur George Busch

You get two totally different views of the wildlife here: watching hippos right at water level one minute, then spotting lions from a 4x4 the next. The photography during golden hour is incredible according to our travelers, and the walking safaris get you properly close to nature. "We had a very nice safari. It was a nice variation of game drive, boatcruise, sunset cruise, flats of the saltpans, lodges, campsite with small tents, campsite with larger tent (room with bathroom), overnight under the stars on an outdoor matras without a tent, etc. Our driver/guide Shakes was super great. He took good care of us and we had very interesting conversations on the road. The food was also good. The only negative thing was that we didn't get a transfers at the start and the end of the safari. Little Roz asked us to go to the first lodge ourselves and the same at the end, which we had to pay for ourselves. And we didn't get the breakfast the last 2 days, so we had to pay for that as well But all together
