What people love about touring Canada solo
- 5-Day Canadian Rockies Adventure: Banff, Jasper & Yoho National Parks Tour
Everything was very well organised, all questions I had were answered and we had a great time xx
- Canadian Rockies: National Parks Westbound
Had a great time, our guide Jeremy was excellent with a lot of local knowledge! Some of the hikes were a bit challenging for a couple of us and we were slower but the rest of the group and guide were great about waiting for us and making sure we were doing okay. Great camping experience would definitely recommend!
- Canada's Rockies (7 Days)
Best Tour Ever! Ben Hutchinson is a true Ambassdor for Canadian tourism. He continually provided info about our country some of which we did not know about. Very, very interesting man & entertaining as well. Very comfortable coach & wonderful bus driver. As Canadians we were not disappointed at any time on this tour. Our dream of the seeing the Rockies was fulfilled!!
What our customers ask about Canada Tours for Solo Travelers
What accommodation can solo travelers expect on Canada tours?
Most Canada tours house guests in centrally located hotels like the Banff Aspen Lodge, a short walk from downtown's restaurants and shops. Some itineraries mix traditional stays with outdoor experiences - guests might spend a few nights camping in national parks, with tents and sleeping gear included.
How much is the average single supplement for Canada tours?
Single travelers can expect to pay between $400-800 USD extra for private rooms on week-long Canada tours. The Rockies Classic Tour charges $450 USD for single occupancy over 4 nights.
What's the typical group size and solo traveler ratio on Canada tours?
Tour groups typically include 20-35 people, with solo travelers making up about 35-40% of participants. This size allows for easy socializing while maintaining personal space.
What activities are best suited for solo travelers in Canada?
Solo travelers often connect with others during guided hikes in Banff National Park, wildlife spotting trips, and city walking tours. The Banff Gondola ride naturally brings people together through shared views and experiences.
How safe is it to travel alone in Canadian cities between organized activities?
Vancouver, Banff and Victoria are known for their safety and walkability. Hotels like The Sutton Place in Revelstoke are positioned in well-lit, busy areas near dining and shopping spots.
Do tour guides accommodate solo travelers' needs?
Tour guides actively work to include everyone in group activities and conversations. The Rockies Premium Tour's guides receive a 4.9/5 rating for their ability to create an inclusive atmosphere.
