What people love about touring Oman solo
- OMAN CROSSING DESERT & MASIRAH ISLAND
This trip was full of fun. Words don‘t do justice. You have to experience it. The Tour simply was amazing. Everyday exceeded the previous one. And the food OMG , spoiled rotten. Our tour guides were also supportive, very attentive, told us a lot of stories about the country and the locals and took care of us very well. I have no words to say Thanks to MTA Team.
- 8 Days Group Tour of Blissful Oman
Communications with MTA were very good. From the moment I stepped off the plane to the second I returned to fly out, everything went flawlessly. Lodging was very good. Transportation was excellent. It was just me and my driver-guide so we enjoyed flexibility in the schedule. This was especially important due to early rains which shut off some sites due to flooding. My guide was a font of knowledge and intent on making my visit seemless and enjoyable. My cautions would be if you are mobility impared, this isn't the tour for you and do not go between mid to late May and mid September. JOB WELL DONE
- Highlights of Oman
A well paced and interesting tour, our guide Qais was the highlight - such an experienced lovely guy who was constantly full of energy and eager to show us his country.
What our customers ask about Oman Tours for Solo Travelers
What's the best time of year for solo travelers to visit Oman?
October through March offers the most comfortable conditions for exploring Oman. The mild temperatures during these months make outdoor activities enjoyable at places like the Wahiba desert and coastal areas. Group tours run frequently during this period with data showing October to February as peak months for solo travel. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "I went in January and the weather was perfect for exploring everything from Muscat's Grand Mosque to the Wahiba desert."
What types of accommodation can solo travelers expect on guided tours in Oman?
Accommodations range from city-based hotels to desert camps throughout Oman. You'll find yourself staying at places like the 4-star Al Falaj Hotel in Muscat and the upscale Hilton in Salalah. Desert portions of tours often include nights at places like Desert Nights Camp with private bathrooms and comfortable amenities. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "The accommodations were exceptional from city hotels to desert camps making the solo journey very comfortable and memorable."
How social are the group tours in Oman for solo travelers?
The tours create natural opportunities to bond with fellow travelers. You'll share experiences like dune bashing adventures exploring local markets and watching turtles nest at Ras Al Jinz.
