amazing adventure- I really loved it
- Southeast Asia Encompassed
The itinerary was much better than I expected and our CEO (Charin) was to knot check.
- Southeast Asia Encompassed
This was a wonderful trip which is made up of 3 shorter trips combined. I was the only person on the 29 day tour so had changes of travel partners 3 times along the way which kept it very interesting. Transport was excellent all the way. Lodgings were all above my expectations. The guide was exceptional. Meaw took great care of us, introduced me to wonderful street foods and made sure I was not lost anywhere along the way. I went on this tour January 2015

The cycling conditions in the Far East really shine during autumn - specifically September through November - when temperatures cool down and humidity drops to comfortable levels. If you're looking for a different time, March and April also work well, plus you'll catch some fantastic local festivals. Our travelers often tell us the homestays in the Mekong Delta villages become their favorite memories, sharing family meals and learning about daily life firsthand. Early risers particularly love watching the sun come up over Angkor Wat's ancient temples, which adds a whole other dimension to these cycling journeys.
See all Far East tours toursOur TourRadar customers keep coming back to tell us about their favorite Southeast Asian moments. Up in Chiang Mai, the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary gives you real time with rescued elephants - you'll learn their habits and the work that goes into protecting them. Out on Halong Bay, spending a night on the water lets you kayak between limestone cliffs, swim in hidden spots and explore caves before settling in for peaceful evenings afloat. Cambodia offers deep perspective at the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a difficult but crucial historical site that helps visitors understand the country's past. Many of our travelers discover they love getting hands-on with Khmer cooking classes, picking up traditional recipes and techniques. Angkor Wat's massive temple complex still amazes everyone with its detailed stone work and architectural scale. November through February brings cooler temperatures and clear skies - perfect weather for exploring temples and being outdoors. Our guests often tell us about catching that soft morning light at Angkor Wat and watching the sun drop behind Halong Bay's islands.
See all South East Asia tours toursLocal homestays really make these Indochina trips come alive - you'll sit down for family meals in the Mekong Delta's waterside homes and get involved in daily village life in rural Chambok, Cambodia. The Angkor temples offer remarkable moments, like watching early sunlight spread across Angkor Wat's towers or getting up close to intricate stone work at Banteay Srei. Getting there is half the experience - you'll cycle through green rice fields, pass colorful village markets and chat with locals on quiet back roads across Cambodia and the Mekong area. Our travelers often tell us the cooking sessions with local families are a highlight, where they learn to make steaming bowls of Vietnamese pho or rich Cambodian amok curry from scratch.
See all Indochina tours toursThe Taj Mahal stands as India's true masterpiece, where our guests love watching the morning light play across the white marble at sunrise. Rajasthan opens up a world of royal experiences - you can actually stay in real palaces like Sardargarh Fort and Rohet Garh, where every corner tells a story from centuries past. In Jaipur, the massive Amber Fort and City Palace showcase how the maharajas lived in real splendor, while Ranthambore National Park lets you track wild tigers through their natural territory. The heart of India beats strongest in Old Delhi's narrow lanes, where rickshaw rides take you past the grand Jama Masjid mosque and through spice markets filled with local life, aromatic flavors and also constant motion. The best time to visit? Our travelers find October through March ideal - you get clear skies for photos, comfortable temperatures for walking around and also the chance to join festivals like Diwali or the Pushkar Camel Fair that really bring Indian culture to life.

See all Hiking & Trekking toursOur most popular Southeast Asia tours run 16-21 days through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, letting you really dive into local life. You'll cycle rural backroads, paddle kayaks in Halong Bay and explore ancient temples on foot. What makes these trips special is the contrast - one day you're navigating Bangkok's bustling night markets, the next you're sharing stories with your Mekong Delta homestay family. Guides like Is and Toni get mentioned again and again in customer feedback for making these cultural connections happen naturally. The Cambodia-focused trips run about 12 days and work well if you want to go deeper into one country. You'll cycle across traditional bamboo bridges, trek through villages and cool off in Kampot's hidden waterfalls. Our travelers consistently point to the Chambok village homestay as a highlight - joining community walks and watching traditional dance performances gives you real insight into rural life. The Thailand-Cambodia cycling routes cover serious ground - usually 50-110km on main riding days - taking you past rice fields, rubber trees and small villages. Don't worry if you're not Tour de France material though; the support vehicle is always nearby and there are plenty of stops at local markets and temples. As our customers often say, you just can't get this close to local life from a bus window. For longer adventures, some trips start in Bangkok and finish in Kuta, Indonesia. You'll catch waves on Red Island, hike Mt Bromo's volcanic crater and wander through Bandung's misty tea plantations. The schedule mixes it up nicely - maybe an early trek one day followed by beach time the next. That pre-dawn walk across the "Sea of Sand" to watch the moon set and sun rise comes up in nearly every review as something truly special. What makes these trips work is how the physical activities create natural opportunities for cultural exchange. You might find yourself learning traditional coconut candy making in the Mekong Delta or having deep conversations with Buddhist monks in Luang Prabang. The cycling, hiking and also surfing become your way into understanding Southeast Asia's incredibly varied landscapes and communities.

Based on customer feedback, Prestigo Asia and Bravo Indochina Tours consistently deliver quality experiences across Southeast Asia. TourRadar travelers particularly mention their guides - Dat from Prestigo gets regular shout-outs for his local knowledge, while Sandra at Bravo Indochina receives praise for making cultural connections feel authentic and personal. The accommodations chosen by both companies hit the right notes, with travelers appreciating the comfortable rooms, convenient locations and also thoughtful touches. Their itineraries flow well, giving you enough time to properly explore each spot without feeling rushed. On the flip side, Hoi An Express has some work to do on their tour organization. While their airport pickup service runs smoothly, several TourRadar customers point out issues with unclear daily schedules and guides who could be more engaging in certain regions. This feedback mainly applies to their cultural tours, though their transportation services generally get good marks. What really sets Prestigo and Bravo apart is how they handle the small details - from restaurant recommendations to helping with local customs and also unexpected schedule changes. The guides' personal connections in each destination add layers of insight you simply wouldn't get otherwise.

"Not one of Intrepid's better trips. There was a lot of travel involved with most stays only being one night. The hotels weren't great, with lots of issues. The minibuses used were quite crammed, especially when the tour was at capacity. Overall, I enjoyed southern India, especially the day trip on the houseboat. I just think that this tour could have been done better.
