What people love about Costa Del Sol Tours
- Madrid and Andalusia
Overall I had an amazing time! I do think it would be beneficial to show the ages of the people signing up for the trip. In the past 2 tours of done, there have been younger people and couples. Given that I was traveling alone, it would have been great to bond with younger travelers as well. In addition, there were a couple times where some of the men on the trip commented on my looks, which made me uncomfortable. Sensitivity training may be a good idea for travelers to take as well before any trip. And lastly, the final day in sevilla, the boat cruise was honestly a waste of money, and i think it would be best to remove it from the itinerary. It’s hard to hear the recorded voice playing in the back.
- 5-Day Tour to Andalusia, Costa del Sol and Toledo from Madrid (7 destinations)
We very much enjoyed the 8 day tour overall. There were 4 of us, myself and 3 teens. The itinerary was very good but there are some things that could make it better: 1. Meeting location in Madrid is especially difficult to find and no detailed directions were provided. I was able to figure it out only by reading reviews. A very simple fix would be a detailed step by step direction to the underground parking lot meeting location. 2. Optional tours are great but it feels VERY salesy. We had 3 different tour guides as our itinerary had us split among 3 different tour groups as we were the only ones on the 8 day tour during our dates. The issue with the optional tours is they are not pre advertised but you have to pay in cash and there is significant pressure ( less than 10 minutes on average) to make a decision. This could definitely be better managed to feel less pressure filled which translates into a negative experience. Tours: the included tours and the optional tours were very good, all our local tour guides were charismatic and most importantly very knowledgeable. I would only suggest a little free time for souvenirs on each tour, there were a couple tours where our timeline did not allow for any free time. I would certainly consider booking another tour with Julia, I would however know what questions to ask ahead of time to ensure the possible experience.

When is the best time to visit Costa del Sol for a general tour?
With more than 300 days of sunshine each year Costa del Sol welcomes visitors in every season. The most comfortable temperatures for exploring come during spring (March-May) and fall (September-October) when days hover between 20-25°C with fewer tourists than high season. Summer brings beach-perfect weather from June through August though temperatures can reach 30°C. Properties like the Melia Castilla hotel in Torremolinos fill quickly in peak months. According to a TourRadar traveler "The weather in September was perfect for exploring both coastal towns and inland villages without the intense summer heat."
