We loved the itinerary and the extra sites we visited, also. Our CEO Alexiane did well. We would have like to hear more history of the places we saw. Alexiane took care to provide for the needs of individuals on our tour. That was especially helpful for me. Our bus driver, Frederick, was excellent and caring, too.

We had a our 2nd Globus tour in 5 years, this one was Normandy, Brittany and Chateaux Country. Globus tours has much improved and it was a very good tour. Riccardo was our tour director, and he was fantastic. His attention to detail, his knowledge of the areas and his patience with all the members of the group on the trip was excellent. The trip was well organized and the side trips in this tour were all very good. Only complaint is the wifi on the bus does not work but other than that Globus had everything well planned out. Good trip.

Went on Normandy, Chateaux country tour. Had Riccardo, he was great. The tour was a well organized tour, and his attention to detail making sure everything was smoothly run. Great trip

Based on what our travelers tell us, Globus really delivers on the essentials - they plan routes well, pick great stops and keep things running smoothly day to day. Their guides Riccardo and Phillipe get a lot of praise from guests who appreciate their deep knowledge about each location and ability to handle the unexpected. The coaches are modern and comfortable which helps on longer travel days between cities. While the bus WiFi can be spotty at times (especially in mountain areas), most guests find the seats spacious and appreciate having charging ports at each seat. I hear consistently that it's the little touches that make Globus tours work so well - the guides adjusting plans based on the group's interests, finding those perfect lunch spots off the main squares and sharing fun local stories that you won't find in guidebooks. The company clearly puts effort into hiring guides who know their regions inside and out. Just keep in mind that like any group tour, you'll be traveling with others and following a set schedule. But Globus builds in enough free time for guests to explore on their own, grab dinner at local spots and take things at their own pace when possible.

"We had an absolutely fantastic time with Crosi Cruise! The food was plentiful and delicious, and the wine seemed to flow endlessly, adding a wonderful touch to every meal. The staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, and always ready to make us feel at home. The smaller number of passengers created an intimate, welcoming atmosphere where we quickly felt like part of a close-knit community. We cherished every single minute of the journey and can’t wait to book another trip. Highly recommend!

Discover Normandy tours for every budget
The 5-day Paris and Mont Saint-Michel tours work well for budget-conscious travelers. You'll get good value with a 24-hour Big Bus pass in Paris - it's practical for seeing the Eiffel Tower and exploring Montmartre and also Sacré-Cœur whenever suits you. Our customers particularly like how these tours mix guided visits with independent time, especially at Mont Saint-Michel where you can take your time appreciating the medieval abbey architecture.
Seine river cruises offer a refined 7-10 day journey through Normandy starting from Paris, with stops in Giverny, Rouen and also Les Andelys. The small touches make these special - sipping evening cocktails while Paris lights up around you and visiting Monet's gardens before they open to the public. The ships dock right in town centers, so you can easily walk to sites like Rouen's 600-year-old astronomical clock. Many routes include private access to Richard the Lionheart's Château Gaillard and visits to family Calvados distilleries.

Top Normandy travel itineraries to fit your plans
Normandy's charm unfolds differently when you choose between our Seine river cruises and cycling tours, both running for 7 days. The river journey starts in Paris and winds through Norman countryside, with good long stops at Monet's gardens in Giverny and the medieval city of Rouen - where you'll find that incredible 600-year-old astronomical clock. Our travelers love taking evening cruises under Paris's illuminated bridges and getting private tours of Chateau Auvers-sur-Oise. If you prefer two wheels, the cycling route from Brittany to Normandy takes you through quiet backroads and coastal paths. You'll pedal to Cancale for fresh oysters, follow the lovely Emerald Coast and finally reach Mont-Saint-Michel. The cyclists in our groups tell us they really enjoy how the route mixes seaside views, small Norman villages and historical sites into one active cultural experience.

Our 4-5 day Normandy tours from Paris work really well for solo travelers, with small groups of 8-12 people that quickly become friends. Travelers often mention how much they enjoy sharing meals in local crêperies and walking through Monet's gardens in Giverny together. The schedule gives you structured activities but also leaves free afternoons to explore places like Bayeux's medieval center or take a relaxing walk on Deauville's boardwalk at your own speed.
Couples love our Seine Valley and château tours that blend Paris romance with Loire Valley exploration. The journey starts with dinner at the Eiffel Tower and includes excellent wine tastings throughout the Loire. Our travelers particularly enjoy quiet mornings in Giverny's gardens, followed by visits to magnificent castles like Chambord and Chenonceau. Evening Seine cruises past lit-up Paris monuments add perfect romantic touches. For more active couples, our village-to-village walking routes offer comfortable hotels and great restaurants to end each day.
Young adults click well with our biking and walking routes through Normandy. The days mix serious history with local culture - you might start with a military historian's D-Day talk then spend your afternoon tasting calvados at a family distillery. The Deauville to Bayeux walking route lets you set your own pace, while bike tours come with both regular and e-bike options. Our younger travelers say they really value having structured historical visits plus enough free time to find local cafes and experience modern French life.
Senior travelers consistently choose our well-paced tours that prioritize comfort without sacrificing cultural experiences. We base these groups in central Bayeux or Caen hotels to minimize travel time. Guides like Marie Claire get great feedback for their clear communication and attention to individual needs. The itineraries include historical sites, gardens and cultural visits at a comfortable pace. Having several two-night stays works well, and seniors appreciate being able to skip more active parts while still joining the key experiences.
Families connect deeply with Normandy's history through our D-Day Landing Beaches tours. Parents tell us their teens really engage with WWII stories, especially when guides like Philippe bring the events to life at Utah Beach and the American Cemetery. The D-Day Museum provides solid context, while kids get hands-on learning at the Pegasus Memorial. We've balanced the historical aspects with fun family moments - our groups love sharing dinner on Seine cruises and exploring the winding streets of Mont Saint-Michel together.

Best time to visit Normandy
- Spring 2025
Spring is when Normandy's gardens really come alive, and our tours make the most of it. We start in Paris with dinner at the Eiffel Tower's first floor restaurant before heading to Giverny where Monet's gardens show their first colors. Our guides Philippe and Marie Claire know every detail about both the D-Day beaches and Loire Valley castles. Mont Saint-Michel works particularly well in April and May - the weather's just right for the climb up to the abbey and you get clear views across the bay. The Loire Valley part includes wine tasting sessions where you'll learn about their impressive production of over 320 million bottles each year.
