A must destination. Great trip.

Great! Excellent itinerary! Excellent transportation van! Excellent guide!
- Alaska Adventure - 20 Days
I traveled in August 2014 with Infinite Adventures and had an amazing time! The effort Natalie and David put into the trip, was excellent and I got to tick off a few things on my bucket list: bears, moose and even swimming in a pool on a glacier. Great group, so much fun and the wilderness of Alaska is mindblowing
Travel Alaska your way
Our hiking tours really shine when it comes to exploring Alaska's untamed backcountry. The Crow Pass Trail takes you on a solid 6.2-mile trek to Crystal Lake, climbing 2,000 feet through meadows filled with wildflowers. For those wanting a full day out, the Harding Icefield Trail stretches 7.4 miles through cottonwood forests and heather fields before opening up to impressive glacier panoramas. History buffs particularly connect with the 9-mile Bonanza Mine trail in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, where 1930s mining ruins tell stories of Alaska's gold rush era. When we plan multi-day hikes, we pick camping spots along places like the Kennicott River, and our travelers consistently tell us they love how we mix up moderate trails with more challenging routes.
See all Hiking & Trekking toursOur active tours pack several experiences into each trip across Alaska's key spots. Many of our customers say that combining glacier kayaking in Valdez with wildlife watching in Denali gives them just the right activity balance. You can challenge yourself ice climbing on Root Glacier, head into the backcountry on guided ATV rides and tackle the rapids while rafting the Nenana River. Winter brings its own special activities - you'll meet champion mushers at their kennels and learn about the rich traditions behind the Iditarod race. One of our most unique offerings takes you kayaking between the icebergs at Glacier Lake, where you'll see ice chunks breaking off from Valdez Glacier. These tours usually run between 5 and 11 days, with longer trips giving you extra time to explore remote spots like McCarthy and also Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
See all Active toursExplore a wide diversity of coach / bus tours through Alaska. We have 8 adventures that vary from 7 days to 22 days. With the greatest number of departures in June, this is also the most popular time of the year.
Alaska's explorer tours really shine when it comes to discovering the state's wilderness. There's this fantastic Denali tour where naturalist guides take you across the tundra tracking wildlife - you'll often see moose, caribou and if you're lucky, grizzly bears in their natural habitat. Another solid choice pairs up the Exit Glacier walk in Kenai Fjords with stops at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which our customers particularly enjoy. Many travelers tell us they love exploring small towns like Talkeetna, which actually inspired the TV show Northern Exposure. We've got this one tour that dives deep into indigenous culture and gold rush history, where you'll try your hand at gold panning at real historical sites. Our travelers consistently mention how their guides make the experience special - one recently told us how their guide's local restaurant tips and activity suggestions really made their trip memorable.

Our travelers consistently highlight four tour companies that really deliver in Alaska. Trafalgar nails the details in their itineraries, and guides like Kris make sure everyone's comfortable while learning about the region. They've got the logistics down cold. G Adventures takes a more active approach - their Ultimate Active Alaska tour puts you right in the action. You'll kayak next to massive icebergs and trek across glaciers with CEOs (that's what they call their guides) like Ryan leading the way. It's hands-on exploring that gets you close to Alaska's raw nature. For those who want to camp under the northern stars, Bindlestiff Tours knows exactly what they're doing. Their guides Charlie, Marie and also Joe share deep knowledge about Alaska's wilderness while keeping the camping experience smooth and organized. They've perfected the art of comfortable wilderness touring. Globus rounds things out with polished operations and excellent guides - Dontae and Kip really shine on tours like Alaska's Iditarod and Spectacular Alaska. They explain local culture, spot wildlife and tell the stories behind what you're seeing. The whole experience flows naturally thanks to their expertise.
