Travel Nova Scotia your way
Our Nova Scotia coach tours make it easy to reach those out-of-the-way coastal spots in complete comfort. Most people choose the 7-11 day trips, where skilled drivers handle all the twists and turns of the Cabot Trail and maritime roads. Our travelers really appreciate how we rotate the seating daily so everyone gets different views throughout their trip. You'll stop at fascinating places like the Alexander Graham Bell museum, Green Gables Heritage Place and Sugar Moon Farm for real maple syrup experiences. The coach setup works perfectly for the Bay of Fundy region - it would be tough to manage the distances between Hopewell Rocks and the fishing villages on your own. The guides know their local history inside out and handle any weather or timing changes without missing a beat.
See all Coach / Bus toursNova Scotia's coastal regions and national parks really shine in our explorer-focused excursions. The routes linking Peggy's Cove's active fishing community with UNESCO-listed Lunenburg work particularly well - our travelers tell us they love having free time to explore the historic waterfront on their own terms. Up on Cape Breton, you'll find yourself winding along the Cabot Trail where whales surface offshore, eagles soar overhead and moose often appear in the highlands. The Bay of Fundy tours let you witness the planet's highest tides and explore fossil cliffs that date back 300 million years. We've balanced expert guidance with plenty of independent time, which works especially well around Prince Edward Island where you can take your time discovering the red sandstone cliffs and rolling dunes.

Globus tours excel at the big picture - they've got skilled guides like Scott and Peter who keep things engaging while managing all the logistics. Their comfortable coaches and drivers (Randie gets mentioned a lot in reviews) make getting around hassle-free. You'll see quite a bit on their itineraries, though some of our travelers note they occasionally wish for more time at certain stops rather than moving quickly to the next destination. For travelers who prefer a more relaxed pace with deeper local insights, Atlantic Tours might be the better fit. Their guide Lana, in particular, gets high marks from customers for really digging into the history and culture of each place while making sure everyone's specific interests and needs are looked after during the tour. Both companies understand how to run group tours effectively - it just comes down to whether you want a well-oiled machine that covers lots of ground with Globus, or a more laid-back experience focused on fewer places but with more time to explore with Atlantic Tours.

"Local guides were generally well chosen - Jim the tuna fisherman and the lobster boat presentation were exceptionally good. The Rossignol winery was a waste of time. Alan the Acadian needs an editor. The Cabot Trail experience was not great - too much driving for too few iconic views. Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy was much better, by way of contrast, but could have spent an extra hour there. Also at the AG Bell museum in Baddeck. Overall we enjoyed it but found the pace generally too rushed.

Fall colors transform Nova Scotia's coastal routes into something really special, and our multi-day tours make the most of it. The Cabot Trail is particularly good this time of year - our travelers always mention how the forest-covered canyons and red-tinted cliffs make for amazing photos. The tours stop at local wineries in the Annapolis Valley where you can sample Nova Scotia wines while learning about Acadian culture and heritage. UNESCO sites are a big draw in autumn, from examining ancient layers at Joggins Fossil Cliffs to walking through Lunenburg's beautifully preserved colonial streets.
