- AVirginia S.· October 24th, 2024I am a very picky person when it comes to traveling. Wanted to do this tour for two years. It is the perfect trip for all the must see things in Nova Scotia that you all have heard about. Each hotel was above the norm. The restaurant choices were great also. Our group consisted of 24 including driver and guide. Small bus, very comfortable. I would not hesitate to book with Tours of Distinction again..Show moreTours of Distinction commented on this reviewWe are thrilled to hear me wt your expectations! - AC. Gray· October 24th, 2024We had a wonderful trip with your company! Our tour guide, Kim, was both professional and attentive to all our needs. She made our trip fun! Our driver, Bob, had a fun personality and also gave us a very safe drive. He was "da man" as we all said! Our guide in Nova Scotia filled us with the history of the area. Very interesting! Our guide on Prince Edward's Island was good too. We also made some good friends!Show moreTrip date: September 2024Review collected by Tours of Distinction

- ALorrie Shaw· October 24th, 2024Just returned from the Nova Scotia/Bar Harbor trip. Our tour director Kim was everything you’d want in a tour director, professional, fun, on top of every detail and flexible to fit needs of group. Our driver Bob was a great driver, patient and helpful but also fun. Bus was extremely comfortable! Brian our local guide did a great job around Halifax, he is extremely knowledgeable and kept us interested in the history. My sister and I enjoyed our trip and will be planning another I’m sure. Kudos to all!Show moreTours of Distinction commented on this reviewWe appreciate hearing your thoughts and glad to hear you had a fun trip! Thank you for the kudos. - ALynn Jones· October 24th, 2024My husbandand I just got back from the Nova Scotia tour. We had never been on a bus tour so really had no expectations. We were very pleased. Kim our trip leader was very efficient and friendly. Bob our bus driver was an excellent driver with a great sense of humor and a perfect personality for dealing with all ages. Brian our Halifax local guide was a wealth of knowledge. Even our trolley driver Josh in Acadia was great. Only downside was traffic on interstates which can't be helped. We were just glad we were not driving and instead enjoying this extremely comfortable motor coach . We hope to book another trip in the future with Tours of Distinction.Show moreTrip date: September 2024Review collected by Tours of Distinction

- KMKerry· September 29th, 2024This is a great trip! Our tour director Kim was very organized, knowledgeable and pleasant. We enjoyed her. Bob, our bus driver was a great driver, kind with lots of patience. The stops: Bar Harbor, Acadia, Halifax and Prince Edward Island were great. We had lots to do with the tour, but also had ample time on our own to explore. This was my first trip with Tours of Distinction. I look forward to my next one. I also enjoyed the smaller group size of 22.Show moreTours of Distinction commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback Kerry! - TLThomas· October 12th, 2023We had a fine experience with the Tours of Distinction trip to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, which began and ended in Ellsworth, ME. The tour director, Julie, did an excellent job, the bus driver was pleasant and provided a safe trip, and the local guides with whom the tour contracted helped our group understand local history and culture. Especially helpful to me was learning about Acadian history: the Acadian roots in southern France, British expulsion of them from Atlantic Canada, and their eventual return to the Maritimes. The one piece of history I wish had been discussed more was that of the Gaelic settlers. Given the name of the province, Nova Scotia ("New Scotland"), it would have been helpful to hear more of their history in the area.Show moreTours of Distinction commented on this reviewThank you for your lovely review Thomas. We are thrilled to know of your unique experiences and how Julie took care of the group. We look forward to seeing you for your next adventure, should you consider us. Stay well!Trip date: September 2023
- Alice· September 26th, 2023Positive: Angelina, the bus driver, made our trip. She was the best part, to be honest. Negative: Communication prior to the trip, not knowing what to expect in detail, food, the bus leaked, No OFFICIAL tour guide, and no wifi on the bus. All in all, we all enjoyed ourselves and made the best of it. However, I would not travel with this company again.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- SGSusan· July 7th, 2023This tour director, Marina, was excellent -- organized, caring and efficient. She had to make some adjustments on the fly due to weather and other circumstances, but all went smoothly and we got everything that was promised and more. The bus (or "coach") was exceptionally comfortable (good legroom!) and gave good views of surroundings. (A tiny quibble -- it would be nice if the sound system allowed the use of earphones when videos are played so you don't have to listen if you don't want to.) The driver was pleasant and good at the actual driving, but perhaps needed training as he appeared to require close supervision by the tour director. All of the hotels were clean, comfortable and well located, but the Holman Grand in Charlottestown was a standout. The location guides were all very good and the stops were well chosen. I feel that I got an excellent overview of Bar Harbor, Nova Scotia, and PEI. Personally I could have used a little more free time and less emphasis on meals, but I imagine that the majority preferred the schedule as it was. The ferry trip from Bar Harbour to Yarmouth was unfortunate, as the seas were rough and many people got sick. I was okay but it was a long 3 hours. However, in better weather this could be a highlight. The Tatoo in Halifax was spectacular. My only slight issue with the tour company was that communication from the head office was sparse. We paid our money months ago and got no further information until a few days before the tour began, when we were mailed a letter which told us the name of the tour director and the hotels, but very little else. There was a last minute change to the hotel for the starting and ending point, probably for the better, but it was inconvenient for me as I was a flying in to Bangor and instead of a free hotel shuttle I had an expensive taxi ride to Ellsworth. If I had know earlier I might have modified my travel plans and flown in to Bar Harbour. Overall I felt that the tour was mostly geared to those folks taking the bus up from Connecticut with little attention to those flying in from longer distances (other than by Marina, who was as helpful as she was able). This was not made clear in the listing on Tourradar where I chose and booked the tour. Nevertheless, the tour was good value and very good quality and overall a great experience.Show moreTours of Distinction commented on this reviewFantastic to hear Susan. Thank you for your feedback.
