Our guide was fabulous. I learned a lot from her. The bus we had was very noisy, it shimmied, and was difficult to control the temperature throughout the bus. I would have preferred to have paid more money for the lobster supper and had a more refined dining experience. It was too rushed so all our courses were just piling up on our small table. The chowder tasted like flour and water. Another meal (can’t remember at what stop) our lobster and crab rolls were just on cold hamburger buns. I enjoy a dining experience, but unfortunately that was non-existent.

Tourradar did a wonderful job in all aspects of trip. Linda, the tour operator. Dave, the bus driver were excellent. The hotels were very clean, nicely appointed and the provided meals were very good.
- by Katrina KniezewskiGreat tour and wonderful guide and driver but missed our ferry ride back to Halifax and that is the part of the tour we were so looking forward too??

All was good and only wish Cabot Trail would have lasted two days not only one. Would have also liked a farewell party like my friend had with her tour which was almost identical to ours
- by Andria LandrieHi team I travelled from Australia to see cape Breton highlands. On the single day of our visit to the highlands our coach had technical brake failure. We were forced to wait for a replacement coach for 3 and half hours. This pretty much wiped out the afternoon session of our day trip to the highlands. Additionally I was not advised that Atlantic tour would be taking us. There was no one at the hotel to meet on arrival and as per our iitenerary.

Please beware of this tour as many things are not included: Bike tour PEI didn’t happen Walking tour in Moncton and Halifax did not happen on our tour. And lastly please consider this as if I knew this before I would NOT have booked this trip. If you do not do the rafting “ as an optional activity” they literally don’t have anything else for you to do for three hours. Our tour guide went rafting and left the majority of the group behind. The driver was kind enough to drop as off at a mall to occupy our time. I did not pay that much money to sit in mall. I wanted to see the maritimes. Very disappointed in Contiki be

This is a great trip! Our tour director Kim was very organized, knowledgeable and pleasant. We enjoyed her. Bob, our bus driver was a great driver, kind with lots of patience. The stops: Bar Harbor, Acadia, Halifax and Prince Edward Island were great. We had lots to do with the tour, but also had ample time on our own to explore. This was my first trip with Tours of Distinction. I look forward to my next one. I also enjoyed the smaller group size of 22.
- by Kerry MarroneWe had a fine experience with the Tours of Distinction trip to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, which began and ended in Ellsworth, ME. The tour director, Julie, did an excellent job, the bus driver was pleasant and provided a safe trip, and the local guides with whom the tour contracted helped our group understand local history and culture. Especially helpful to me was learning about Acadian history: the Acadian roots in southern France, British expulsion of them from Atlantic Canada, and their eventual return to the Maritimes. The one piece of history I wish had been discussed more was that of the Gaelic settlers. Given the name of the province, Nova Scotia ("New Scotland"), it would have been helpful to hear more of their history in the area.

Local guides were generally well chosen - Jim the tuna fisherman and the lobster boat presentation were exceptionally good. The Rossignol winery was a waste of time. Alan the Acadian needs an editor. The Cabot Trail experience was not great - too much driving for too few iconic views. Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy was much better, by way of contrast, but could have spent an extra hour there. Also at the AG Bell museum in Baddeck. Overall we enjoyed it but found the pace generally too rushed.
- by Philip RobertshawThis was our 7th trip with Insight and this was a nice paced tour of the Maritimes. The tour director was excellent as well as the coach driver. As long as my wife and I can keep traveling we'll be going with Insight.
