My family of 5 (3 kids, my husband and I) did the Northern Tanzania Safari by World Adventure Tours and had the experience of our lifetime. I found this company as I was searching the web for tour operators in Tanzania and when I wrote to them I got a very comprehensive quote from them. Their offer for safari included accommodation in the premier Tanzania Wildcamps and upon crosschecking with Tanzania Wildcamps they confirmed the partnership. Our safari itinerary with Moses our guide was better than great. Moses is an exceptional guide combining many years experience guiding in the parks with his easy going and friendly nature. The number of animals that he managed to show us is just insane! The game drives were full of adventure and the lodges luxurious making it the dream holiday. My kids loved Serengeti Safari Lodge very much because of the pool, wonderful location and breathtaking views! If you are looking for adventure and luxury without having to break your bank I recommend that you talk World Adventure Tours

Our trip to Tanzania with WAT was an incredible experience overall. We had Flavian as our guide, he is very capable and experienced. He contributed a great deal to the success of our safari. We got to see many different animals in all the parks that we visited. There were large herds of elephants in Tarangire, we encountered lions in Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Ikoma, Rhinos in Ngorongoro plus huge populations of Zebras, wildebeest, antelopes... We loved the camps and lodges that we were booked in. Quite nice and suited for safari. I highly recommend WAT!

"The tour is great! We have seen all Big Fives, including the most elusive leopard. The landscape is magnificent! The tour guide, chef, truck and gam drivers are all pleasant, responsible and helpful. There are a few things I wish I had been informed before the trip: 1. Visa for both Kenya and Tanzania; 2. Bring sleeping bags, towels and toilet paper (this is esswntially a camping trip); 3. Plenty of small bills of USD be cause it's the preferred currency from tourist. As long as you are well-prepared, this is a tour if life time!

"The tour was amazingly carried out! We enjoyed the sights, the hotels and the amazing hospitality. Our tour guide Emmanuel really made the trip so special for us. He is incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the land, animals and culture. He made us all feel so welcome in Northern Tanzania and kept us laughing throughout our time together. We were fortunate enough to see the big 5 animals and even saw a leopard on 2 separate occasions. The hotel selections were wonderful, we particularly enjoyed our time at the Serengeti Safari Lodge! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in doing a safari.

27 tours in Ngorongoro National ParkPrivate safaris give you real freedom to explore at your own pace. Our guides like Moses, Daniel and also Obed get constant praise from TourRadar customers - they know exactly where to find animals and can spot them from amazing distances. These tours take you through Lake Manyara National Park to see those famous tree-climbing lions, then give you proper time in the Serengeti for the wildebeest migration. The best part is how flexible everything is - if you find something interesting, you can stay longer, and if you're ready to move on, you just go. There's great cultural stuff too - you can visit Maasai villages, try some local Chagga banana beer and watch Makonde woodcarvers at work. Having your own vehicle and guide means you can focus on what interests you most instead of following someone else's schedule.

The 3-day Ngorongoro tours give you solid wildlife experiences without a long time commitment. You'll spend full days tracking the Big Five in the crater, with guides who know exactly where to find black rhinos and resident lion prides. There's also a nice alternative that takes you walking along the crater rim before spending time with Maasai families in Nainokanoka village and exploring the quieter Empakaii Crater where pink flamingos gather at the lake. For a bit more variety, one tour connects three parks - you'll see Tarangire's elephants, Lake Manyara's unusual tree-climbing lions and finally Ngorongoro's diverse wildlife.
TourRadar recommends visiting:
Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Seven-day private safaris really let you dig into northern Tanzania's highlights. Landing at Kilimanjaro Airport, you'll first explore Lake Manyara's varied landscapes, where tree-climbing lions lounge in branches and olive baboons keep things lively. TourRadar customers like how flexible these tours are - you can choose between learning about ancient humans at Olduvai Gorge or visiting a Maasai community. You'll spend several days watching the great wildebeest migration in Serengeti before heading down into Ngorongoro Crater. Our travelers often mention loving the local experiences, like tasting Chagga tribe banana beer and browsing the busy markets in Mto wa Mbu village.

Demographics
Private safaris work beautifully for couples since we can adjust the pace just for two. The 7-day Wildlife Safari gets great feedback from pairs who love the romantic feel of places like Acacia Farm Lodge, where you can watch the sun drop behind the crater rim together. Our Bush to Beach tour combines wildlife viewing with lazy days in Zanzibar - it's ideal when you want both wild encounters and quiet beach time together. TourRadar customers often tell us about those special morning drives when mist hangs over the crater and it's perfectly quiet, followed by private picnics out in the bush. Our guides know all the quiet spots away from other vehicles where you can really take in what it means to be out here in wild Africa together.
Our longer safari tours really work well for families exploring Ngorongoro. The 13-day northern parks experience gives everyone time to settle into safari life naturally, balancing game drives with quiet moments at the lodges. Kids love getting out on foot around Lake Manyara to spot flamingos and baboons up close, and there's always time for a swim after morning activities. The 7-day classic route is another solid choice - our TourRadar customers tell us their children connect well with the guides, who take time explaining animal behaviors in ways that make sense to young minds. We use family-friendly spots like Highview Hotel and Ngorongoro Safari Lodge, where parents say their kids spend hours watching elephants and giraffes right from the lodge.

You'll spend time at the Shanga Community Project, watch Tarangire's elephant herds and explore the crater thoroughly. The 3-day highland trek is another good pick - you walk the crater rim with rangers, visit Maasai communities and might catch flamingos at Empakaii Crater lake. - Fall / Autumn 2025
Fall is prime time for wildlife as animals gather near water sources. The Serengeti Trail stays popular - our TourRadar customers specifically mention how the guides know exactly where to position vehicles for optimal viewing. If you're short on time but want to experience the crater's unique ecosystem, the 3-day Ngorongoro focus tour fits well. Hikers find ideal autumn conditions on the highland trek, exploring the crater rim and nearby highlands, with good chances to spot leopards in the early hours. World Adventure Tours has built quite a reputation in Tanzania - our travelers keep telling us about their safari guides going well beyond expectations. Moses, Daniel, Obed, Joseph, Sam and also Mushi really understand the wildlife patterns and always seem to get their groups to the right spots at the right times. They've mastered tracking the Big Five and know exactly where to position vehicles for the wildebeest migration. The accommodation side is handled beautifully by Zara Properties, who run the camps and lodges in Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. Our guests often mention how nice it is to return to comfortable beds and hot showers after a full day exploring. The camps blend authentic safari atmosphere with proper amenities, and the staff there really look after everyone. The guides' deep knowledge comes through in how they explain animal behavior and ecosystems - they'll point out subtle details like bird calls that signal nearby predators or tracks that tell stories of overnight activity. They're also great at adjusting routes based on recent wildlife movements and weather conditions. This practical expertise paired with Zara's well-placed properties means visitors get both amazing wildlife encounters and a genuinely comfortable base. It's a combination that works particularly well for people who want real safari immersion without roughing it too much.

Winter offers some excellent safari choices across Ngorongoro. Our most visited option runs 13 days, blending northern Tanzania's parks with relaxing beach time in Zanzibar - it works perfectly when you're looking to escape cold weather. You'll get your wildlife viewing in the crater first, continue to the Serengeti and then unwind on the coast. There's also a solid 8-day classic safari taking you through Lake Manyara, Serengeti and also Ngorongoro. Our TourRadar customers really love those early morning crater descents - that's when animals are most active and the light makes for great photos. If you're pressed for time, the 3-day Ngorongoro focus tour lets you properly explore the crater's ecosystem at a comfortable pace.
