What people love about Indonesia Tours
- Bali Bucket List Original 10 Day Tour
Before I went on the Bucket List Trip I had been backpacking around Asia so wasn’t sure what to expect from a guided tour. I wasn’t disappointed. The whole tour was so well organized. Literally didn’t have to think and basically just enjoy! Sam was an awesome group leader, really knew his stuff and was always there to answer any questions. Would 100% recommend! If you’re looking to make friends and have an awesome time doing it then this tour is for you!!
- Bali Experience
Where do I begin? Bali with TruTravels was amazing. Everything from the welcome dinner to the farewell dinner was awesome. Our guides, Drew & Shane are great guys, and they genuinely have the people on their trips' interests at heart. From surfing in Canggu, to the monkey forest, a cooking class and a visit to the rice terraces in Ubud, before finally finishing up on beautiful Gili T where we saw some incredible sunsets, came face to face with turtles, and enjoyed some great nights out; we did so much, and made so many memories with a bunch of new friends. Ill definitely be coming out on tour with these guys again, and couldn't recommend this trip any higher! Well done TruTravels and Drew & Shane. 10/10

The whole experience was amazing but our tour leader Michaela made it the best tour/holiday I have ever been on #teammichaela

Bali blends natural wonders and cultural experiences in ways our travelers love to talk about. The Gili Islands let you drift alongside sea turtles in waters so clear you can count the scales on their shells. The Mount Batur trek isn't easy - you'll climb volcanic rocks before dawn, but that sunrise view across the island makes every step worth it. In Ubud's heart, you'll find macaques doing what they do best in the Sacred Monkey Forest and the beautifully engineered layers of Tegalalang's rice fields stretching into the distance. Our customers often tell us their favorite memories came from cooking with local families, learning family recipes and getting real insights into daily life here. The Kecak fire dance at sunset draws you in with its hypnotic chants and the jungle swings - well, they're an adventure that'll have you soaring high above emerald rice paddies. April through October brings the driest weather, though our early-rising travelers find that even in busy seasons, morning visits give you peaceful moments at popular spots.
See all Bali toursJava tours blend together active volcanoes, ancient temples and rich cultural highlights that our customers really love. Three experiences always stand out: catching sunrise at Mount Bromo's massive crater, wandering through the detailed Buddhist carvings at Borobudur Temple and getting to know real Javanese culture in Yogyakarta. There's something special about hiking up Mount Bromo in those early hours - our travelers tell us how the misty volcanic landscape feels almost like walking on another planet. At Borobudur, the 8th-century stone structures let you get up close with ancient Buddhist art and architecture; you can actually touch the walls and walk the same paths as people did centuries ago. The dry season from April to October gives you the clearest views for sunrise photos, though we've found the temples are just as fascinating any time of year.

Balintro really shines for first-time Bali visitors, with most of our travelers praising how smoothly everything runs from start to finish. Their guide Phil gets mentioned constantly in feedback for making complex cultural sites come alive and handling all the little details that could trip up solo travelers. The accommodations are a nice step up from typical backpacker spots - you get proper hotels rather than basic hostels. Just keep in mind that September tends to draw bigger crowds; we've seen groups of 20+ during peak season. If you prefer a more close-knit feel, try booking in shoulder months instead. For something a bit different, TruTravels takes you deeper into daily Balinese life. Their guide Yosia knows exactly which local families offer the best cooking classes, showing you how to make proper sambal in actual Balinese kitchens, not tourist cooking schools. You'll visit temples that don't show up in guidebooks and actually get to chat with local priests instead of just snapping photos. It's especially good if you want to understand the culture rather than just see the main sites. Both companies deliver solid experiences - it really comes down to whether you want that well-oiled intro to Bali or prefer digging into local life beyond the usual tourist spots.

"Where to start!! My Tour around Indonesia with Monk and Orty was amazing. The trip was full of a variety of activities suited for everyone, such as cooking classes, visiting rice fields, snorkelling and more! Monk was an amazing leader of the trip and brought great energy, which was mirrored amazingly from Orty who was representing the marketing department. The footage, photos, memories, vibes and activities were amazing and I wish I could do it all again.
