What people love about In-depth Cultural Tours in France
- Grand Tour of France
While the sailing trip itself was great, the food excellent and the boat crew was amazing, some of the details were not correct from the tour provider. It stated that we had air conditioned cabins on the gulet and they were not air conditioned. There wasn't even fans. It was VERY HOT in the cabins and every single person on the boat noticed it. Most of them ended up having to sleep up on the deck which was a challenge for me as I can't sleep where there is light so I just had to suffer the hot cabin. We were also told that the boat had full snorkeling gear which it did not. So the first 3 days we couldn't snorkel at all. Luckily on day 4 I think it was we went to a small town to resupply and we managed to buy 2 snorkel sets ourselves. So while the boat and its crew were fantastic Eskapas themselves promised things they could not deliver. That was very disappointing and with a different group of guests there would have been some BIG complaints. It was just lucky that we were blessed with a great group that managed to take the errors in the trip description in their stride.
- Best of France Tour
This was the trip of a lifetime!!! We never could have planned and organized a trip so detailed and just perfect in every way on our own!!! We had such a wonderful time with the group and everything went so smoothly. We loved all of the tours and the driver was prompt and professional. All tickets were purchased in advance and waiting for us upon arrival so all we had to do the entire trip was enjoy ourselves!!! There was not a single moment we had to “think”. Everything was handled for us. Ann Marie was a wonderful tour guide, her English was great and her knowledge of France, Art, History was wonderful. She made us feel like locals by the time our tour was finished! Thank you very much for helping us to live this great experience.
- Southern France Tour - Nice to Paris
This tour was overall good it allows you to get to experience Paris when you don't have a lot of time. The walking tour guide was excellent even though we had a rocky start due to him receiving the wrong pick up location. The hotel was 3 not 4 star with a small room. It was clean quaint with friendly helpful staff. The description of tour failed to inform how physically demanding it is particularly for older or out of shape tourist. There is a lot of walking and stairs. The Eiffel Tower 2nd floor climb should have the option to purchase a lift ticket up front and disclose that it is over 600 steps to 2 nd floor.
