What people love about Active Tours in Nepal
- Nepal Adventure Tour
We went to Nepal and enjoyed absolutely every second with Nepal Hiking Team, they took care of our every need and really took care of us. We felt like royalty. Our guide on the trek was Bhim, he was incredible, ask for him by name. Our Porter Prem was also a legend. We went to Nepal in love and left more in love with each other and with Nepal. We will definitely be back.

This was the second time we have used Manakamana Treks and Expedition and we were not disappointed again. Achut and his team certainly deserve 5 stars and more, the service they provided to us was faultless and we would have no hesitation in recommending them. There were 3 of us traveling all retired. We visited Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Pokhara and Nagarkot. All lovely places and throughout our travels we were so well looked after by Achut at Manakamana Treks. There was quite a bit of driving on our trip, on roads which were not great, but our driver Chitra was superb and we felt totally safe at all times. Regular stops for food and coffee at first class establishments made the trips very enjoyable. It was interesting to see the lovely country side as well as the numerous villages and towns we passed through. It is worth visiting these places as the safari at Chitwan was so well organised and informative. It was really great to see the various animals in their natural habitat. Lumbini was great too and we saw the birth place of Buddha which was very busy but so well organised. Regardless of your religious beliefs it was quite a moving experience. We also saw various temples in the area. Next was off to Pokhara the city on the lake. It is a beautiful place and the walk along the lakeside was lovely and very relaxing after the drive. Achut arranged for us to eat at a local restaurant where cutlery was optional. Superb food and we all managed with our hands. A great experience and good fun! We trekked to Dhampus but unfortunately the cloud had come down and we never saw the mountains. The next morning we drove early to Sarangkot and the highlight was seeing the sun rise over the Anapurna mountains. We had one night in Nagarkot high above Kathmandu where we were fortunate to see the Himalayas. Back in Kathmandu where we had a few days to ourselves to wander around and see the city. It's a great place and we felt totally safe. The food and beer are superb and the Nepalese people are hugely helpful and so friendly. WiFi is generally very good everywhere. Achut invited us to his house to meet his family and to enjoy true Nepalese food. A great evening thoroughly enjoyed by all. The attention given to us by Achut and Manakamana Treks was superb and at all times they couldn’t do enough for us. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Achut and his team. Already planning our next visit in 2024 Mary, Linda and John, Glasgow, UK . November 2022,

Wow, what an adventure, so much to see and take in. The rafting was so much fun even in the rain. Amit was an excellent tour guide, he has so much knowledge of his beloved country, and a great sense of humor!! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. However, the hiking in the high heat and humidity of September was a real challenge.
What our customers ask about Adventure Tours & Trips in Nepal
When is the best time to go on an Adventure tour in Nepal?
The prime seasons for Nepal adventure tours run from October to November and March to April. These periods offer stable weather that's ideal for outdoor activities. The Annapurna Circuit Trek provides clear mountain views and moderate temperatures during these months. TourRadar travelers often mention the "breathtaking views with minimal rain and perfect hiking conditions." While the Everest region is best visited in these windows Chitwan National Park welcomes visitors year-round. The spring season works particularly well for activities in Pokhara Valley such as paragliding with one TourRadar traveler noting "excellent visibility of the Annapurna range during spring."
What fitness level do I need for a Nepal Adventure tour?
Nepal adventure tours generally call for moderate fitness as they combine activities like trekking hiking and wildlife safaris. Take the Annapurna Base Camp trek as an example: it requires 5-7 hours of daily walking at heights reaching 4130m. For those new to trekking the Chisapani Nagarkot trek offers a gentler option with 4-5 hours of daily hiking. A TourRadar traveler shared about the Annapurna trek: "The trail has some challenging sections but is manageable for anyone with basic fitness and determination." Basic cardiovascular training before the trip helps especially for high-altitude treks.
What are the must-see adventure highlights in Nepal?
Nepal's adventure landscape spans from mountain peaks to jungle plains. The Annapurna Circuit stands out with its mountain scenery and the Thorong La pass at 5416m. Chitwan National Park lets visitors track Bengal tigers and one-horned rhinos while Pokhara offers paragliding with Annapurna views. One TourRadar traveler noted: "Going from the mountains of Annapurna to spotting tigers in Chitwan to paragliding in Pokhara gave us an incredible mix of adventures." The Hotel Everest View provides mountain perspectives while Bandipur's trails wind through traditional villages.
What type of accommodation can I expect on Nepal Adventure tours?
Lodging options change with location and tour style. Cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara feature 3-star properties such as Hotel Yatri Suites and Spa. Trek routes offer basic teahouses and lodges while wildlife areas provide specialized lodging like the Bardia Jungle Resort. A TourRadar traveler remarked: "The mix of comfortable hotels in cities and authentic teahouses during the trek gave us a great Nepal experience." Remote locations offer essential amenities though luxury features may be limited.
What cultural experiences are included in Nepal Adventure tours?
Adventure tours in Nepal combine outdoor activities with cultural discoveries. Visits include the ancient Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu meetings with Sherpa communities near Everest and exposure to Tharu culture in Chitwan. Traditional teahouse stays create opportunities for local connections. One TourRadar traveler shared: "While staying at the Peaceful Lodge in Chhomrong we experienced wonderful hospitality and learned about local Gurung culture from our hosts."
How much does a typical Nepal Adventure tour cost?
Nepal adventure tour prices range widely based on length and included activities. Budget options like the Rapid Annapurna Base Camp Trek start at 999 USD for 10 days. Mid-range experiences such as the Multi-Adventure Tour run about 2800 USD for 11 days covering activities accommodations and select meals. Special experiences like the Everest Helicopter Tour start at 1500 USD per day. Most packages include guides basic lodging and permits but exclude international flights and personal costs.
