What people love about Norway And Sweden Tours
- Scandinavia Explorer
This trip gives a wide range of experiences. Different countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland. Different types of transport: boat, ship, train, tram, bus, bike. Different types of location: cities, countryside, lakes, fjords. Different activities: historical tours, hiking, scenic tours, sampling local foods, bob sledding. Our guide Sigrid, from Norway, was outstanding. Very organised, spoke many languages, excellent knowledge of the areas we were exploring and so much more, good sense of humour, caring, joined in and shared her passion of Scandanavia. There were so many wow moments on this trip especially the amazing views. The sight of the Fjords and tyke snow capped mounds will live on in my memory forever. 5am amazing experience.

Travel Norway and Sweden your way
Our cultural tours usually start in Copenhagen, where you'll learn the story behind The Little Mermaid statue and get into Danish design around Nyhavn harbor. When you get to Sweden, you'll walk through Gamla Stan's medieval streets in Stockholm, where the Nobel Museum sits right next to centuries-old squares. One route we really like includes time in Odense - that's where Hans Christian Andersen was born - before taking you to Bergen's Bryggen district, which UNESCO recognizes as pretty special. Our travelers often tell us how much they enjoy learning about Viking history in places like Skagen, where artists have been drawn to the unique quality of light for hundreds of years. You'll also get to see Norway's stave churches and explore Oslo's museum collection.
See all Coach / Bus toursOur top-rated Nordic expedition takes you right into Norway's fjord landscape, kicking off in Berlin before heading north through Denmark. There's a great cable car ride up Fløyen Mountain where Bergen spreads out below you, plus you'll cross eight bridges on the Atlantic Road and get close enough to touch Briksdalsbreen glacier. If you're into outdoor activities, many of our travelers love the Voss route - it's Norway's outdoor capital where you can mix up hiking with some optional rapids rafting. Over in Sweden, the summer tours through Dalarna County give you chances to paddle across lakes while local guides share stories about regional folklore. What works really well is how these tours balance guided parts with free time - you'll have plenty of chances to find your own special spots in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Bergen.

Who are you traveling with?
Group
63 tours in Norway and SwedenTraveling with a group makes Scandinavia both social and affordable. A popular 10-day tour brings people together to try Swedish meatballs in Stockholm and cross the impressive Oresund Bridge. Another well-rated option includes kayaking near Vrango Island, cycling Copenhagen with locals and also joining traditional fika coffee breaks in Alingsas. Our customers say the group really adds to their trip - whether they're learning Viking history or capturing midnight sun photos together. These tours usually have 20-35 people and include central hotels plus several meals.
Small Group
9 tours in Norway and SwedenKeeping groups small at 12-16 people opens up some special possibilities in Scandinavia. You can eat at family restaurants and stay at cozy hotels that larger groups just can't fit. One tour that gets great feedback includes a village safari around Lake Siljan in Sweden, where you'll meet local people and learn about traditional life. Another focuses on winter activities - you'll try cross-country skiing, go dogsledding and also learn Arctic survival skills. Small groups mean guides can give you more attention and adjust plans when interesting chances come up.
Private / Personalized
10 tours in Norway and SwedenPrivate tours let you see Scandinavia exactly how you want. Several routes start in Copenhagen, with your personal guide sharing stories about Rosenborg Castle and the Royal Guard ceremony. Then it's off to Norway for rides on the Flåmsbana Railway and fjord cruising at your preferred pace. Stockholm visits include the Vasa Museum plus time in Gamla Stan's old streets. Our travelers really value having their own guide throughout and also being able to change things up based on what interests them most.

Our week-long tours blend city life with wilderness experiences. The Copenhagen-Sweden route takes you through Nyhavn's vibrant waterfront before crossing the Øresund Bridge to modern Malmö. You'll then head to Gothenburg for kayaking around Vrango Island's nature reserves and stop in Alingsås for traditional fika - that's coffee paired with local treats. For winter enthusiasts, we run tours into Swedish Lapland where you'll pick up Arctic survival skills, construct shelters and try your hand at ice fishing. Many of our travelers tell us meeting reindeer at the Sámi village in Rensjön was a highlight, along with husky sledding near Kiruna and taking a bracing Arctic swim in the Norwegian fjords near Narvik. These 7-day trips fit active travelers who want to mix cultural experiences and outdoor activities.

Starting from Copenhagen's Amalienborg Palace Quarter and Christiansborg Palace, the route crosses Jutland Peninsula to Odense's fairy-tale heritage sites. In Norway's fjord country, our travelers often tell us Geiranger is a standout - its Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil waterfalls pour into the UNESCO-protected fjord. You'll explore Bergen's historic Hanseatic quarter, ride the steep Flåm Railway and visit Lillehammer's Olympic venue. Stockholm rounds things out with proper time to see the Royal Palace, Riddarholm Church and take evening walks through Gamla Stan's medieval streets. Best time to visit Norway and Sweden
- Spring 2025
Spring brings warmer days and more daylight hours to Scandinavia. Tours begin in Copenhagen with traditional fika coffee breaks before heading north through Sweden's lake country, where melting ice creates perfect conditions for paddling. Our customers really enjoy hiking Bergen's seven mountains once the snow starts to retreat. Spring is excellent for fjord cruises too - the winter melt feeds powerful waterfalls as you cruise through Nærøyfjord and also Geirangerfjord. Many routes include Oslo's Vigeland Sculpture Park when spring flowers fill the surrounding gardens.

- Summer 2025
Summer means endless daylight and ideal conditions for getting outdoors. Routes combine kayaking along Vrango Island's coast with hikes above Bergen using the Fløibanen funicular. Our travelers love those long summer evenings in Stockholm's Gamla Stan, where sunset seems to last forever and outdoor cafes stay lively late into the night. Active summer tours include cycling through Copenhagen's hidden spots, village exploration around Sweden's Lake Siljan and guided walks to Norway's Briksdalsbreen glacier. June through August tours make full use of the midnight sun, especially in the north where daylight runs 24 hours.

- Fall / Autumn 2025
Autumn shows off Scandinavia's color changes and cultural sites without the crowds. Stockholm's archipelago really shines in fall, when cozy cafes offer perfect breaks between visits to the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and other sites. Several routes explore Bergen's UNESCO-listed Bryggen district, where autumn leaves complement the colorful wooden buildings. Our customers particularly enjoy fall visits to Oslo's Viking Ship Museum and Vigeland Park, followed by evenings trying traditional Nordic dishes. With fewer visitors around, there's more space to explore Copenhagen's Nyhavn harbor, Sweden's lake towns and also major attractions.
