What people love about Austria, Italy And Switzerland Tours
- Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express
Trip overall was very good. Two meals (Zermatt and Innsbruck) we unedible....too salty and Zermatt hotel failed to clean dishes from tables in morning yet required us to eat there rather than clean tables (for non group guests). St Moritz hotel and staff were excellent and over the top. Schedule did not provide enough time in Innsbruck and Turin. Guide was excellent and caring.
- Scenic Europe
The alpine lakes and mountains tour was brilliant. Visiting new places and meeting other travellers from over the world was amazing! A new experience for me which I really enjoyed and would highly recommend to others considering it. My tour leader Cameron Benson was full of knowledge and very pleasant to be around, I couldn't of asked for anyone better to have taken this tour! 10/10 trip!!
- Europe's Highlights
I took Cosmos 4810. It was a great tour, little fast paced, definitely not for people who are looking for a tour to relax. The guide was knowledgeable and good. I did most of the extra excursions offered as they were very good and worth the money. I would wish if they more options with optional excursions. Most of the accommodations were good except the Paris hotel and the hotel in Montecatini which can be improved. Also if Cosmos can provide water bottles, atleast 2 water bottle per person per day that would make it so easy as everyday you have to spend so much money just buying water. Overall great experience.

Our 15-day Berlin to Venice route really hits the sweet spot for people who want to dig deep into each place they visit. You'll cover 15 different spots, but at a pace that lets you properly take it all in. The journey starts in Berlin, where local guides share stories about the city's layered past, then moves through Dresden and into Prague - where an evening boat trip on the Vltava gives you a different view of the city. As you head into Bavaria and the Tyrolean Alps, you get some unique stops like the Swarovski Museum. What our travelers particularly like is how the route mixes famous cities with lesser-known gems; one day you're high up on Grindelwald's mountain bridges, and before you know it you're strolling through Como's perfectly manicured gardens. The final stretch through Rome, Florence and Venice gives you proper time to explore Italy's art scene without rushing from place to place.
Select from our extensive range of 67 fully guided tours to enjoy a worry-free experience through Austria, Italy and Switzerland with our expert guides leading the way.
These special multi-country tours from Berlin to Venice span 15 days and create deep cultural connections along the way. You'll join guided history walks and meet interesting locals, from Carmelite friars in old pharmacies to passionate food experts sharing insights in Paris. The tours strike a nice balance through Switzerland and Italy, mixing planned activities with free time - start your day with expert guides at an uncrowded Vatican City, then drift along Venice's peaceful canals at your own pace later on. Our travelers tell us they love thoughtful touches like watching artisans at work in Austria's Swarovski Museum, and joining laid-back prosecco tastings at family-run wineries in Veneto. The cultural story unfolds naturally as you move between places: discover medieval art in Assisi's St. Francis Basilica one day, cross dramatic alpine bridges in Grindelwald the next. What makes these journeys special is how they weave together major cultural sites and intimate local experiences - you'll explore Florence's Ponte Vecchio with knowledgeable guides, then find yourself dining in hidden restaurants tucked into Rome's Trastevere neighborhood. Our cultural enthusiasts particularly value those exclusive early morning visits to places like the Sistine Chapel, before the usual crowds arrive.

The Alpine Adventure routes flow naturally from Munich's bustling Marienplatz to Turin's historic center, connecting with spectacular rail journeys along the way. At 7,000 feet, the Bernina Express crosses dramatic mountain passes, while the Glacier Express winds through Swiss valleys and dense forests. The tours strike an effective balance - mornings might find you with expert guides in Innsbruck's medieval quarter, followed by free afternoons to explore Lake Como at your own pace. Our tour directors earn frequent praise for weaving historical narratives while keeping the logistics smooth between stops. What sets these journeys apart are distinctive experiences like private visits to family wineries in the Veneto region, and early morning access to the Sistine Chapel before the crowds arrive. The mix of accommodations and dining hits all the right notes, from central city hotels to meals that alternate between Michelin-starred venues and authentic local trattorias, giving you a complete taste of the region's food culture.

The 7-day Italy and Switzerland routes hit a sweet spot for timing and experiences. Starting in Rome, you'll walk the Imperial Forums and Vatican City before spending evenings in Trastevere, where the local trattorias serve proper Roman cooking. We've balanced guided tours with free time - you get local experts showing you around Florence's Ponte Vecchio and Venice's St. Mark's Square, plus plenty of time to explore those winding streets on your own. When you reach Switzerland, a cable car takes you up to Grindelwald where you can test yourself on a mountain bridge with glaciers all around you.
Ten days really lets you settle into each place you visit, especially on our central Europe to Italy routes. Starting from Munich or Prague, you'll mix castle visits with river cruises. Many travelers tell us they love the unique stops - like watching craftwork at the Swarovski Museum in the Tyrolean Alps or taking the small train to Pisa's Square of Miracles. These tours work so well because they blend city culture with mountain experiences; you might spend the morning in Milan's Duomo square and that afternoon crossing high bridges in the Swiss alps. The timing works perfectly too - you'll get to Venice early enough to watch Murano's glassblowers at work and still have time to wander the canals before dinner.
Two weeks gives you the full picture of these three countries. One route we run starts in Amsterdam then heads south through Germany's Rhine Valley - you can pick between driving or cruising past those medieval castles. After visiting Innsbruck in Austria's Tyrol, you cross into Venice. Our travelers often mention how much they like mixing cities with countryside - one day you're in Assisi's St. Francis Basilica, the next you're out in the Tuscan hills. Yes, you move quickly, but you'll see both the major spots and quieter places like Interlaken and Lake Como. The Swiss portion usually includes time in Lucerne with its wooden bridge and you'll get to visit Burgundy's wine region before ending up in Paris.

Fall brings perfect conditions and fewer tourists. The alpine routes really stand out when larch forests turn golden around Engadine National Park. Our customers love those combination tours starting in Rome, moving north through Florence, Venice and also Austria's mountain towns during peak fall colors. Multi-country routes connecting Paris to Rome via Switzerland get great reviews in autumn - you get clear mountain views without summer heat or winter snow.
