What people love about Costa Rica Tours in February
- Costa Rica: Ocean Waves & Sunsets
I would have enjoyed more time in La Fortuna because there was so much to do there. Also, I would have liked the option to upgrade my accommodation at certain locations. For example, I would have liked to upgrade to a tepee at Selina in La Fortuna.
- Classic Costa Rica
Our guide Pedro exceeded all expectations! A very complete tour going around Costa Rica, lots of different activities, early and late wake ups, quiet and busy days, physical and calm days, and hot and cold!
- Tropical Costa Rica 5 Days, Short Break
We had a wonderful time! Everything went smoothly, our tour guides and drivers were friendly and knowledgeable, and each of the places we visited was amazing. Highly recommend!

What is the weather like in Costa Rica during February?
February stands out as the driest and sunniest month in Costa Rica with optimal conditions in key destinations like Arenal and Manuel Antonio. A TourRadar traveler notes from her February trip: "The weather was perfect during our visit with warm days around 85°F in coastal areas like Manuel Antonio and comfortable mid-70s°F in mountainous regions like Monteverde." Coastal regions see extensive sunshine with 8-10 hours daily making it a prime time for outdoor activities from surfing at Tamarindo Beach to beachfront stays at Hotel Parador in Manuel Antonio.
How crowded are Costa Rica's tourist destinations in February?
Peak tourist season hits its stride in February especially in beach destinations like Manuel Antonio and Tamarindo. Tourism data shows February visitor numbers rise about 20% above average monthly levels.
