Reviews of 2 week Tours from Amsterdam

The tour can be best described by me as VALUE FOR MONEY. The tour covered many destinations in Europe. It was a little hectic on some days and more hectic on other days. The breakfasts provided by different hotels ranged from excellent to average. The local guides selected by Expat Explore were good. The staff from Expat Explore itself was extremely good. But I would like to caution travellers about the companies 'NO REFUND' policy. While I appreciate their point of view, it is customer unfriendly. If you are applying for a visa and you require any documents, the company will expect you to pay in full before they release any documents. If you fail to obtain a visa, you will lose all your money. Also, there is less for vegetarians and vegans to choose from in the breakfasts provided by the hotels.

I love every moment, good accommodation, great people on the tour to experience this trip with. We had an awesome tour leader who had such great knowledge of each place we visited and most importantly he was very easy going. Both him and our coach driver were very professional and made this trip a memorable one. #Teamstevealltheway

Overall the tour is very good. Some accommodations are below our expectation. No AC in June
What our customers ask about Best 2 week Tours from Amsterdam
What are the most popular destinations covered on 2 week tours from Amsterdam?
Most two-week tours take you through Europe's must-see cities including Paris, Munich, Venice, Florence, Rome, and Basel. You'll get to see famous spots like the Eiffel Tower and St. Peter's Basilica, plus explore smaller gems like the riverside town of Cochem. The tours usually cover 6-7 countries, with stays in well-located hotels like the Carlton in Florence and Grand Hotel Europa in Lucerne. This mix gives you a great taste of both big cities and countryside views.
What's the best time of year to take a 2 week tour from Amsterdam?
Summer (June through September) is peak season, with temperatures between 68-77°F (20-25°C). But many travelers find April and May ideal, when it's 59-68°F (15-20°C) and major sites like the Louvre and Colosseum are less crowded. May is especially nice because you can catch Amsterdam's tulip season while enjoying perfect weather for exploring France, Germany and Italy. Winter tours (December-February) are chilly at 35-45°F (2-7°C), but you'll get to experience festive Christmas markets and fewer tourists.
What's included in the guided sightseeing activities on these tours?
Each city on your tour includes guided walking tours and entry to main attractions. You'll join canal cruises in Amsterdam, explore Keukenhof Gardens, tour Rome's Colosseum, and taste wines in the Rhine Valley. If you choose a river cruise like Uniworld's Rhine trip, you'll visit places like the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart and Schloss Johannisberg winery. There's also time set aside for you to explore on your own or join optional activities like taking a gondola ride in Venice.
How much free time is typically available on 2 week tours from Amsterdam?
Tours usually mix guided activities with plenty of time to explore on your own. Most mornings start with guided tours, then you get 3-4 hours of free time each afternoon. In Paris, for example, you can spend your free afternoons at the Louvre or shopping on the Champs-Élysées. In Rome, evenings are yours to try restaurants around Piazza Navona. Some tour companies like Collette make sure to include several free half-days in cities like Munich and Vienna.
What's the typical pace and physical requirements for these tours?
Most tours move at a comfortable pace with some walking involved. You'll typically walk 2-3 miles (3-5 km) per day, often on cobblestone streets. While the basic sightseeing is easy-going, you can choose to join more active options like Amsterdam bike tours (10 miles/16 km) or castle hikes in the Rhine Valley. River cruises offer the most relaxed pace, while companies like Contiki include more walking and bus travel between cities.
What's included in the guided sightseeing activities on these tours?
Your tour includes guided walks in each city, entry tickets to main attractions, and special local experiences. You'll join canal cruises in Amsterdam, visit Keukenhof Gardens, tour Rome's Colosseum, and taste wines in the Rhine Valley. River cruises like Uniworld's Rhine trip take you to the Mercedes-Benz Museum and Schloss Johannisberg winery. You'll also have free time to explore on your own or join extra activities like Venice gondola rides.

Land tours with companies like Contiki give you breakfast daily plus occasional group dinners, leaving you free to try local restaurants on your own. Past travelers really enjoyed special meals like family-style lunch at Italy's Casale Polegri vineyard and traditional dinners in Munich's beer halls.
