What people love about Italy And Switzerland Tours
- Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express
Great tour with a easy to follow pace
- Majestic Europe (11 destinations)
It was great with knowledgeable guides and comfortable transportation
- Grand Tour of Switzerland
There was one bad hotel in San moritz...hotel Baren. Dinners included were mediocre. However, for the price I would highly recommend this tour of Switzerland. There is no way one could see so much of such a very expensive country any other way. Marco our tour guide was superb as was Giovanni our coach driver. I never felt rushed, and had the perfect balance of free time and rest time. There was no pressure to buy junk either. I woukd go on another cosmos tour for sure!

There's also a Rome to Paris option, starting with early Vatican City access and finishing with evening walks in Montmartre. If you're traveling solo, we've got routes that give you the perfect mix of social time and personal space. There's a nice Barcelona route that takes you through 27 spots including Van Gogh's old haunts in Arles and some excellent Swiss chocolate tasting at Maison Cailler. Another good one starts in Madrid and includes local dining in places like Rome's Trastevere, where our solo travelers often end up making friends over plates of authentic Italian food. When you get to Switzerland, the cable car rides to Glacier 3000 and walks across mountain bridges naturally get people talking. You'll find the train connections between cities work smoothly, and there's plenty of time to explore on your own when you feel like it.
Our older travelers really like how we handle the Alpine tours - not too rushed, with careful attention to the small details. There's a particularly good route that takes you from Munich's Marienplatz through Innsbruck's old center and into Italy's Dolomites. The mix of cultural visits - like seeing Turin's Holy Shroud - and scenic train rides on the Bernina and Glacier Express really works for our senior guests. We've got another route linking Paris, Switzerland and Italy where the city tours show you everything important without too much walking. Our senior travelers often mention how much they appreciate the guides' patience and knowledge of local history and customs. The hotels are picked to be close to the main sights, and we take care of moving the luggage between stops.
Our Italian-Swiss tours really click with families, mixing learning with fun activities kids actually enjoy. The Rome route kicks off with a hands-on pizza class where children get to be little chefs, and parents tell us their kids light up during the Colosseum visit before heading to dinner in a real 12th-century Tuscan castle. Over in Switzerland, families get excited crossing the suspended bridges in Grindelwald and taking cable cars through the Alps. Another family route lets kids create their own Venetian carnival masks in a local workshop and explore Venice's winding canals by gondola. The guides are great at adjusting their commentary so both parents and children stay interested throughout the trip.

Another combines Turin's food festivals with Swiss scenic train rides - perfectly timed for wine harvests in the Aosta Valley. The third most booked route starts in Madrid, moves through a quieter Barcelona and also reaches Switzerland right at peak fall colors.
