- 3 Days High Atlas Mountains and Sahara Adventure
The trip was a great adventure. As described on the flyer. Ali was very thoughtful and helpful.
- Totally Morocco Tour from Marrakech
Excellent tour, very well organized. Enjoyed every day in beautiful Morroco. Thank you for providing such a great service. I will definitely recommend this tour to all my friends.
- Moroccan Desert Adventure: River Canyons & Camels
We were driving a lot in Marocco, but we could see many facets of the country by doing so. The schedule was tight so I would advice to book one or more extra days to discover Marrakesh on your own afterwards. The bus for Transportation had air conditioning, was comfortable and clean. The driver did a good job, but on same places the winding route across the Atlas can be difficult for people who ten with motion sickness. Get some tablets for that. The guide was helpful and took good care of us. The accommodation varies from very beautiful in Marrakesh to simple in the mountain village. But even the mountain village has showers etc. The food was good and gave us some opportunities to test the local stuff. The prices were about 100 Diram per meal. Which is a bit higher than necessary, but acceptable.

For hiking enthusiasts, Mount Toubkal treks stand out as our most popular Atlas Mountains experience. The main routes vary from 3-7 days, with most travelers choosing the classic ascent to North Africa's highest summit at 4,167 meters. Our customers particularly praise the gradual acclimatization, starting in Imlil valley before heading to the Neltner Refuge base camp. The guides earn consistent praise for their deep knowledge of local culture and safety protocols. Many travelers tell us the highlight isn't just reaching the summit - it's the overnight stays in traditional Berber villages like Aroumd, where home-cooked tagines and mountain hospitality create lasting memories. The trek through Mizane Valley and past the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch adds cultural depth to the physical challenge.
See all Hiking & Trekking toursDesert and mountain adventures come together nicely in our 3-5 day combination tours. You'll start with hikes through the impressive Todra Gorge, then switch to camel trekking across the rolling dunes of Erg Chebbi. Our travelers love how the days unfold - morning walks between palm trees lead into evenings around the campfire, with the Sahara sky full of stars above. If you're into cycling, we've got routes through the Atlas foothills that work for casual riders and serious mountain bikers alike. The gravel bike tours are particularly good; you'll ride technical trails through beautiful valleys and stop at small villages to meet local families for lunch. The afternoon rides offer some amazing views - you can see all the way to where the mountains meet the Sahara.
See all Active toursFor people who want to really get into the Atlas Mountains, several excellent tours combine hiking Toubkal with proper desert experiences. Our travelers keep telling us about their guides who take them through old Roman ruins at Volubilis, past local pottery workshops and right into quiet Berber communities. The full tours run 8-10 days, giving you enough time to properly explore both the mountain terrain and Sahara landscapes. Most include nights in traditional desert camps after riding camels across the dunes. What makes these special is how they mix proper hiking challenges with real cultural moments - you'll eat with local families, see traditional crafts being made and learn firsthand about Berber mountain life.

Looking at our traveler feedback, Trek in Morocco and Ali's tours really stand out when it comes to mountain and desert experiences. Trek in Morocco's Toubkal routes are getting great reviews - their guide Mustafa keeps coming up in comments for making the hikes both informative and enjoyable. G Adventures has built a solid reputation with their Desert Adventure - our travelers particularly mention how Youssef and other guides make the journey fun while sharing deep local knowledge. The itinerary mixes culture with outdoor exploration, which seems to work well for most groups. Ali's 3-day High Atlas and Sahara trip packs quite a bit into a shorter timeframe. His travelers consistently talk about how his enthusiasm and deep understanding of the regions add layers of meaning to each stop. It's worth noting that Discover Morocco gets more mixed responses - while some folks appreciate their quick communication and comfortable lodging choices, others have run into planning hiccups and gaps in coordination during their trips. Between these options, Trek in Morocco and Ali's tours tend to deliver the most reliable experiences based on what our customers say. The guides make a real difference here - they're not just leading walks but sharing stories, explaining local customs and helping travelers connect with the places they visit.
