What our customers ask about Nova Scotia Tours & Trips
What Are Some Hidden Gems When It Comes to Travel Routes?
You know those off-the-beaten-path experiences can really make a trip special and Nova Scotia's got some fantastic options. The Marine Drive along the eastern shore is just beautiful with these amazing little fishing villages and coastal views that'll take your breath away. Then there's the Lighthouse Route following the southern coast it's packed with historic lighthouses and these picture-perfect harbors. Travelers on the Wonders of the Maritimes tour especially love taking it slow through these areas chatting with locals and soaking in the authentic Maritime vibe.
Where Can You Find Natural Beauty Outside the Cities?
Beyond Halifax there's just so much natural beauty to explore. Cape Breton Highlands National Park is absolutely stunning you can drive right up or join a guided tour. Down in the southwest Kejimkujik National Park is waiting for you whether you're driving yourself or taking an organized trip. And Fundy National Park wow the views of the Bay of Fundy are incredible plus you've got hiking trails and camping spots all easily reached by car.
How Can Visitors Experience Local Culture?
The cultural scene here is really vibrant and welcoming. You've got to experience a traditional Ceilidh especially on Cape Breton Island where the Celtic music and step-dancing will just sweep you up in the excitement they happen all over in community halls and local pubs. The Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre is fantastic for learning about Mi'kmaq culture and if you're on a Globus tour they'll often take you to the Gaelic College where you can pick up some Gaelic phrases and watch traditional kilt-making.
What Local Foods Should You Try?
The food scene here is incredible especially when it comes to seafood. You've absolutely got to try the lobster dinners they come with fresh mussels and you'll find them pretty much everywhere from fancy restaurants to casual seafood shacks. The Digby scallops are something special really sweet and delicate you'll find the best ones right in Digby itself. And make sure to save room for Lunenburg Pudding this traditional dessert with molasses and spices is a real treat especially around Lunenburg.
