What people love about Spain Tours
- Spanish Ring (17 destinations)
Great tour is what I can say !
- Spanish Ring (17 destinations)
Spain is incredibly beautiful
- Spanish Ring (17 destinations)
I was pleasantly surprised with the (11 days Spanish Ring) that my friend & I took end of May. I fell in love with Spain and liked all the destinations our Itinerary included. It was my 1st guided tour & it was very decent. Loved meeting interesting travels and exchanging stories, the history I learned and fun factors. It is worth the price we paid and more. The best for me was the support I had by Tourradar throughout (from the minute I booked & during our travel when we got prompt responses to inquiries that we had). The negative things: things got very tight and rushed once we got to the South (which is gorgeous), visits were too rushed at stops, too many Bus & groups switching which made it hard to keep up!! Special thanks to all of our guides & amazing drivers for being patient and so knowledgeable (Ajeet, local guides of Valencia + Cordoba (Fatima) such passion, Seville, etc) Thank you guys. I would consider my next guided destination with Tourradar.
Most popular destinations in Spain
Cordoba, Seville and Granada form the heart of Andalucia's most compelling experiences. The Mosque-Cathedral in Cordoba showcases Islamic architecture at its finest, while the Alhambra palace and peaceful Generalife Gardens in Granada tell stories from centuries of Moorish rule. Our TourRadar customers love the authentic flamenco shows - they really capture that raw passion the region is known for. The local guides make all the difference here; they don't just recite facts but bring these ancient places to life with their deep knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. Visit in spring or fall when the weather's just right and you won't battle big crowds, giving you space to really take in these cultural sites. Pro tip from our travelers: head to the Alhambra early in the morning for the best photos and fewer people, then catch an evening flamenco show in Granada where they often serve free tapas - it's a lovely local touch.
See all Andalucia toursThe Alhambra Palace and Generalife gardens in Granada rank as the region's standout attractions, where our travelers love discovering the detailed Moorish architecture and exploring the meticulously kept gardens. Another highlight that captures visitors' interest is the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, sitting right next to the atmospheric Jewish Quarter - it's a fascinating blend of Islamic and Christian design that really shows how different cultures shaped this region. We've noticed that giving these sites proper time makes all the difference - rushing through just doesn't do them justice. Spring and fall tend to work really well for visits, bringing pleasant temperatures and fewer tourists, which lets you take in these historical sites at a more relaxed pace.
See all Southern Spain toursThe Camino de Santiago stands out as Northern Spain's most remarkable trek, with our travelers often telling us how it changed their perspective on life. You'll wind through an incredible mix of terrain - crossing mountain passes one day and following coastal paths the next, all while soaking in centuries of culture and tradition. Our CEO Giulia de Luca knows every inch of the trail's history and keeps the group's spirits high, especially during the more challenging stretches. What really makes this journey special are the genuine local encounters - you'll browse traditional markets for regional treats and discover quiet medieval villages that most tourists never see. Plan your walk between April and October for the best conditions, though September hits that sweet spot with pleasant temperatures and fewer fellow pilgrims on the trail.
See all Northern Spain toursThe Camino de Santiago really defines what makes Galicia special - it's all about those winding paths through green hills and meaningful moments with other walkers. Our customers tell us again and again how much they value meeting people on the trail, and there's nothing quite like that first glimpse of Santiago's cathedral square after all those miles. Local guides Carven and Manuel stand out for making the area's rich history come alive through their stories and deep roots here. Let's be clear though - you'll need solid fitness for the daily walks, and quite a few of our travelers mention they should have done more training beforehand. The real magic happens when you dive into local life along the way, from trying fresh-caught seafood to joining in age-old traditions like the Queimada ceremony.

Spain's mountain trails offer some truly special hiking experiences. The Picos de Europa range shows off limestone peaks and the impressive Cares Gorge - a 24km path that cuts right through cliffs reaching over 1000m deep. Our hikers love the day walks around Sotres village, which sits higher than any other in Spain and gives you great views of the Naranjo de Bulnes rock face. The Camino de Santiago is different - it's as much about the culture as the walking, especially that last 100km bit from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. Having your bags moved ahead each day makes such a difference; our travelers tell us they really appreciate being able to just focus on walking through old towns and Galician fields without lugging their stuff around.
See all Hiking & Trekking toursIn Spain, adventure awaits at every turn. Scale the rugged peaks of Sierra Nevada, kayak along the Costa Brava, or cycle through Andalusia's enchanting landscapes. Dive into the vibrant underwater world off the Canary Islands or paraglide over majestic Pyrenees vistas.
See all Active toursFor active travelers, cycling tours in southern Spain's Murcia region offer peaceful exploration on quiet backroads through diverse landscapes. Routes average 40-45km daily on mostly flat terrain, passing through olive groves, almond orchards and traditional villages. Our cyclists especially enjoy riding along the River Segura into Murcia city and discovering small farms selling fresh local produce. The routes work well for regular cyclists but electric bikes are available and highly recommended for those who want a more relaxed experience. Guests consistently praise the mix of cycling with cultural stops, including visits to Roman ruins, medieval towns and excellent regional restaurants serving authentic Spanish cuisine.
See all Bicycle toursCoach tours through Spain offer excellent value for covering significant ground comfortably. The most requested routes connect Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Barcelona. Our travelers particularly value having expert local guides in each city - they bring history to life at sites like Merida's Roman ruins and Seville's cathedral. While the buses are modern and comfortable, customers suggest requesting a rotation system for seating to ensure everyone gets window views. A common tip from past travelers is to be prepared for early starts to beat crowds at major attractions and plan ahead for lunch stops, which sometimes happen at highway restaurants.

From what TourRadar customers tell us, MapaPlus' "Discovery of Spain" hits the sweet spot with solid guides, nice hotels and really good Spanish food included in their premium package. The main hiccup seems to be some language confusion when groups mix different nationalities together. Eskapas' "Absolutely Spain" gets a lot of praise for how well they've organized everything, and their guide Diego is a real standout - he knows Spanish history and culture inside out. A few travelers wished they had more time in Barcelona though, and suggested adding wine tasting or cooking classes would make it even better. VPT Tours has put together a decent itinerary with "Spanish Delights" but they're having some issues that need sorting out. Their customers mentioned problems finding English-speaking guides, and there was that tour bus breakdown which caused some stress. They really need to improve how they communicate before trips and get their service basics right. For something completely different, Explore's "Trekking in Spain - Picos de Europa" is worth looking at if you're into hiking. Just keep in mind that while they call it moderate difficulty, quite a few people found it tougher than expected. The mountain routes are beautiful, scenic and also pretty challenging - so make sure you're ready for some serious walking.

"Trip overall was good. But we had bus problems on our trip twice. Because of the bus issue we missed out on some performance at flamingo dance event and the next day we had to rush at our next two destinations as the bus broke down again and had to wait for about 2 hrs to get another bus to complete the trip. I was hoping that Europamundo should compensate for this two issues.

"I loved our tour covering all major cities. Our guide throughout the tour was very kind and helpful. Only thing is that we expected 4 star hotel as it was written in the description but the hotel quality was 3 stars where people joining from south america stayed at better hotels. Signing up from the united states didn't give that option to stay at better hotels.

Best places to start your Spain tour
Our booking data shows Madrid is the clear winner for starting points - 57 of our customers kick off their Spanish adventures there, while Barcelona sees 12 departures and Malaga handles 7. Up north, Bilbao serves as the gateway for 5 tours and Sarria, where many pilgrims start their Camino de Santiago, hosts 2. You'll want to lock in plans about 4 months ahead - 115 days is the sweet spot, especially if you're eyeing summer travel when tours fill fast. The AVE high-speed trains make it simple to link multiple cities in one trip. Just keep in mind that August gets quiet as locals take their holidays, and in smaller towns you might find shops and restaurants closed during siesta from about 2-5pm. Time it right and you could catch amazing local festivals like Semana Santa in spring or the fall wine harvests.
Discover Spain tours for every budget
Our budget-conscious travelers often choose 7-day routes through Spain's greatest hits, starting in Madrid and wrapping up in Barcelona. These tours include stops at the Mosque-Cathedral in Cordoba, Seville's Santa Cruz quarter and Granada's Alhambra palace. Our customers particularly value having accommodation and transport sorted while keeping free time to explore. They mention that hotels tend to be comfortable 4-stars, though sometimes located a bit outside city centers. A practical tip from past travelers: opt for the premium packages which include more meals and additional guided activities - it actually works out cheaper than arranging everything separately.

517 tours in SpainThe group tours that get people talking run 7-10 days with around 40 fellow travelers, mixing guided visits with plenty of time to do your own thing. You'll cover Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Valencia and finally Barcelona. The local guides really make each city's history come alive, though some customers note you might need a bit of patience on bilingual tours when waiting for translations. What makes these trips special is how people connect - sharing tapas at group dinners or cheering together at flamenco shows. 115 tours in SpainWant to set your own pace? Our self-drive tours give you that freedom while we handle the hotel bookings and route planning. Most people go for 6-8 days exploring Andalusia, starting from Malaga or Seville. You can take your time in Ronda where the views from the cliffs are incredible, visit the Alhambra when it suits you and discover those lovely white villages along the way. Our travelers love being able to stop whenever something catches their eye, though they've taught us to remind everyone about parking - city center hotels often charge extra and need advance booking. These tours work really well if you're traveling as a couple or family and want that mix of freedom and expert planning.

Week-long Spanish tours hit all the right notes for experiencing the country's diversity. The "Spanish Delights" route from Madrid lets you discover Caceres' medieval streets before diving into Andalusia's cultural gems. Our travelers especially value the local guides in Seville who know exactly when to visit the Cathedral and Giralda tower to avoid crowds. Another excellent option runs from Madrid through Cordoba, Granada and Valencia before finishing in Barcelona. The reviews consistently praise the mix of guided tours and free time - you'll get expert insight at the Alhambra but also have evenings free to find your own favorite tapas bars. These 7-day journeys work particularly well for first-time visitors to Spain who want to see the main sites without feeling rushed.

See all toursTen-day explorations of Spain give you time to really absorb the culture. The most comprehensive route starts in Madrid with a guided Royal Palace visit, then winds south through Cordoba's historic Jewish Quarter and Seville's grand Maria Luisa Park. Our customers particularly appreciate having two nights in most cities - it lets you join the morning walking tours but also explore on your own later. Another fantastic option includes the less-visited north, taking in wine tasting in La Rioja and San Sebastian's renowned food scene. Both tours include comfortable hotels in central locations, though reviews suggest upgrading to premium packages for better meals and additional excursions. These longer trips attract travelers who want to dig deeper into Spanish culture and don't mind the occasional longer bus ride between regions.

Solo travelers tend to gravitate toward our northern Spain discovery routes, where the small group sizes - usually around 12 people - make it easy to bond with fellow travelers. These tours include wine tasting in La Rioja, exploring the Guggenheim in Bilbao and discovering the incredible food scene in San Sebastian. Our solo guests particularly appreciate having expert local guides who know all the best pintxos bars and hidden spots in each city. The accommodation mix typically includes centrally located hotels that put you right in the heart of things, making it simple to explore during free time. Past travelers mention that the tour leaders do a great job of creating a friendly group atmosphere while respecting everyone's independence.
Couples often choose our cultural tours through Andalusia and the Costa del Sol, which offer a perfect blend of guided exploration and romantic free time. These routes typically run 7-8 days, starting in Madrid and heading south to explore Cordoba's atmospheric Jewish Quarter and Seville's charming Santa Cruz neighborhood. Many couples mention loving the balance between city discoveries and leisure time at the coast. Another popular option takes couples from Barcelona through wine country, with stays in historic paradors and plenty of opportunities for memorable experiences like flamenco shows and wine tastings in underground cellars. Our travelers particularly value having logistics handled while maintaining flexibility for intimate dinners and personal exploration.
Families consistently enjoy our active tours in the Pyrenees that blend outdoor adventure with cultural experiences. The highlights include whitewater rafting on the Noguera River, kayaking through stunning canyons and abseiling at Estaron - all adjusted for different skill levels. Parents particularly value having a home base in Sort, where the family-run hotels offer hearty local meals and comfortable rooms. Another solid option takes families through Andalusia's greatest hits, with plenty of free time built in between visiting the big attractions. Our family groups love the mix of exploring Moorish palaces and trying hands-on experiences like cheese tasting in traditional mountain villages. We've found that tours with 2-3 night stays work best for families, giving everyone time to settle in and really get to know each place.

Best time to visit Spain
- Spring 2025
The 9 and 10-day Spanish routes really come into their own in spring; we've got the timing just right for longer walks and outdoor exploring. You'll kick things off in Madrid, wandering through Plaza Mayor in the evening light, then head south through Extremadura where Merida's Roman ruins are waiting. The nice thing about spring is you can take your time - lingering in Seville's Maria Luisa Park or spending a proper afternoon in Granada's Generalife Gardens when the flowers are out. Our customers love these spring dates but they've taught us to mention booking 4 months ahead since they fill up fast. If you're finishing in Barcelona you'll get perfect weather for exploring Gaudi's work, with plenty of time to wander Park Güell and take in the views from Montjuic.

These tours combine cultural highlights with visits to renowned wine regions like Rioja, where you'll explore medieval Laguardia and its underground cellars. Our travelers love how these routes mix city experiences - like visiting the Guggenheim in Bilbao - with countryside exploration through wine country. The weather's typically perfect for walking tours through San Sebastian's old town and enjoying its famous food scene. Customer reviews highlight how much they appreciate the smaller group sizes on these tours, typically around 12-16 people, which allows for more intimate wine tasting experiences and easier restaurant bookings.

Winter in Spain brings a different charm to the classic Andalucian route. Our travelers particularly enjoy the 5-day tours that start in Madrid and wind south, as the cooler temperatures make exploring much more comfortable. The Cordoba Mosque looks even more magnificent in winter light, while Seville's Santa Cruz Quarter feels especially cozy as you duck into tapas bars between sightseeing. What makes these tours work well in winter is the mix of indoor and outdoor activities - you'll explore Toledo's medieval streets but can warm up inside its Gothic cathedral, and the Alhambra's architecture is just as impressive when there's a chill in the air. Our customers mention how they appreciate having dinner included most nights, since restaurants can close earlier in winter months.
