River Cruises in Central Europe Reviews
- Danube Classics Vienna 2026
Al-Rosa did an excellent job. Food was good and lots of it, the cabin was clean and comfortable. The staff were always friendly and helpful and Sabrina did a great job of looking after everyone and made sure that we were always at the right place at the right time. The tours were great and we enjoyed our evenings in the lounge with music and quizzes by Erich. We had a great holiday!

Tour Radar was very easy to work with. Anytime we had questions, they contacted ARosa for the answers. ARosa was very clean, kept with all Covid 19 guidelines. We never felt that we could be exposed to the virus. The only issue was the language. We took 2 tours that were completely in German. We did receive a 1/2 price discount, but had no idea what we were looking at or any history about the building or history. There were 8 Americans aboard. We did meet other passengers who spoke English as well as German. Most people that we interacted with in the countries spoke enough English that wasn’t an issue. We all came away with loving the Tour.

Central Europe river cruises connect travelers to the region's most notable cities along the Danube. Stops include three major capitals: Vienna Budapest and Bratislava with visits to smaller riverside towns like Melk Dürnstein and Passau. Travelers explore significant landmarks such as Vienna's Schönbrunn Palace Budapest's Parliament Building and the historic Melk Benedictine Abbey. The route takes passengers through the picturesque Wachau Valley. River cruise vessels provide accommodations for varying budgets and preferences. The Scenic Crystal demonstrates this range: Royal Owner's Suites span 475 square feet with distinct sleeping and living spaces while Panorama Suites feature convertible floor-to-ceiling windows creating open-air balconies. Standard Suites measuring 160 square feet come with large picture windows. Ships like the S.S. Beatrice offer suites with French balconies and upscale marble bathrooms.
