She was very helpful with and well informed about how to survive the tourist industry and how to navigate the city. World Awaits Tours customized my experience to fit my interest. I went on a wonderful tour of the mangroves with local fishermen, spent time on a beach where the locals go (away from the tourist crowed beaches), and took a tour of the city guided by a local historian who gave me her perspective in addition to facts. I enjoyed learning about the culture of the city from the people who live there. I was offered a view of life in Cartagena from their perspective and gained an understanding of how the city has developed from a historical context. During my two week stay, Bernell’s knowledge of the best grocery stores and dry cleaning services was a godsend and helped make my extended stay enjoyable. I am especially grateful that she knew of a doctor that made house calls to my Airbnb when I unfortunately ate something that did not agree with my stomach during my first week. I give the service a 10 out of 10 and can’t wait to book more tours.
